We stayed in Willow Lodge. It was Very overpriced for what it was. it had been cleaned but wasn’t very clean. One toilet had a permanent water stain and stank. The fridge had a big puddle of water where it was blocked and clearly had been for some time. there were cobwebs on the two outdoor chairs and picnic table. There were signs of wear and tear all over the place that could’ve been fixed by basic maintenance, but clearly hadn’t been for some time. The fitted bed sheet barely fitted and so kept pulling off every night which was really annoying. The lodges was like a sauna in hot weather …very unpleasant. Windows opened but there were no fly screens so couldn’t have them open at night without bugs flying in. There was no fan.nParking down the end of the cul-de-sac was difficult with people parking inconsiderately and blocking other people in. All in all, I couldn’t wait to leave.
Stayed here before last year.. so came back again this year as the whole family loved it so much.. love cosy nights in and relaxing in the hot tub. Really nice and spacious log cabins with all modern facilities including multi jet bath and shower and lovely set up all round. Definately going to make it a regular family get away.
Very lovely cabin, really big. Tough to find, but it was dark. Someone blocked the property drive for the entire duration of our stay which was ridiculously inconsiderate.
Really lovely place nicely tucked out of the way with beautiful countryside views. Some lodges are dog friendly but not fenced so wouldn't be for those with dogs who ate likely to wander. Liz in reception is lovely. Lodges ate very well equipped and had some nice touches like some milk for when we arrived. We loved it but wouldn't suit everyone as it's very quiet.
Stayed for a four-night stay midweek. Rose cottage was comfortable but a bit dated. There were a few issues with the cottage. Just general maintenance would fix.nGarden was great for our dog. Very secure.nLodges and cottages are away from the main camping caravan areas which is a plus cuz the facilities are not working or non-existent the shop is still there. Everything around it has been knocked down apparently they are going to build a new pool area but I can't believe that will be completed before summer of 2026. I may be wrong on this. I would say I would definitely rebook rose cottage because it's self-catering and not affected by the main site.
