A nice site located in the Dorset countryside, just outside Swanage. The lane leading to the site is a bit challenging, being narrow and winding, but worth the travel. The site is a stones throw, walkable, to the Swanage steam railway. The trains being the only real noise disturbance, if you can call it that.
We booked a lodge at Herston Farm Yards caravan park and it did not disappoint. It was clean, well stocked and perfect for our family getaway. The hosts were helpful, accommodating, professional and amazing. This is the second time we booked for a bank holiday weekend and we will come back again. It has everything you need. Friendly, bar music, safe and welcoming. Can't fault it. We loved it.
Hidden gem lodges, stunning lodge, spacious & immaculate with lovely countryside views & private. Comfortable and homely with welcoming logs for the wood burner stove and a beautiful hot tub. Liz found a super lodge for my short break, going out of her way to assist us with a short stay, in a perfect location with a very appreciated spaniel who enjoyed meeting Liz. A busy park across, lodges, camping and caravanning Liz is warm and cheerful, highly experienced across this busy Park. Not forgetting Martin and the crew that keep everything running like a well oiled machine. Lovely atmosphere.
Booked one of these during february half term week. Found it to be very spacious, clean and in a nice location overlooking the Purbeck Hills but close enough to walk into Swanage if you wanted to. Bit too early season to make the most of the facilities on site.
This property had the potential to be decent but fell short. No hand soap in any of the three bathrooms, no broom or cleaning spray to tidy the kitchen and the four poster beds were unclean and needed dusting and the fabric washed and repaired due to a rip and a couple of ominous stains. Very spacious and enjoyed the outdoor space a lot.
