Story

You'll find us in the Arcade next to the new Town Hall where we strive to provide you with what you want and more importantly, what your PET wants and would love! So come along and let us deliver this for you and your pet. If we don't have what you want then we will get it in for you, if you're pressed for time then we can deliver it for you, in essence, we're here to help you in any way we can. We're brimming full of knowledge and expertise at your disposal from national qualifications - City & Guilds; Pet Store Management, to ongoing in-store training.



"We've been in Johnstone now since May 2002, though in the Pet Trade for over 50 years. With qualified staff - some with City & Guilds qualifications - as well as manufacturer provided qualifications, we're confident that we have the experience and knowledge you're looking for to help you with your best friend; your pet!With over 2,000 different product lines between our Dog; Cat; Bird; Fish; Small Animal and Reptile departments we do our best to ensure there is something for you and your pet to see and then take home to enjoy!You can park in Johnstone's car parks for free and if you need help with any heavy products, we can either put them in your car for you or deliver them directly to your home and place them where you would like."

Lovely staff, very well stocked pet shop with healthy animals. I purchased a hamster and was very happy to see that they take your details, incase anything comes back from the breeder regarding the animal you've purchased. I find this very responsible.
It sure where to start……I only just visited this place for the first time this week, I had sent Stacey a message before going up asking about an item before I got there incase I’d forgotten when I was there coz well I was mega excited to go, however I didn’t check my phone before I got there so didn’t know that Stacey had already messaged back but I went into the shop and the lovely gentleman who I asked about said item knew exactly who I was and what I was after….Only to find out Stacey was actually on a day off but still passed my message onto the staff that were in that day to help me out !!…..I was taken aback …..it’s so difficult to come across genuine business owners these days that go the extra mile for their customers in the first place never mind on their days off. The whole experience was sooo refreshing, the shop is unbelievably well stocked with litterally anything you could think of or need as a pet owner, if they don’t have an item they are happy to source it for you, any questions are answered with a smile and a genuine interest in helping customers. I don’t live local to the pet shop I’m over 30mins away which isn’t a great distance but most definitely will be my new go to shop for all my pets needs. So welcoming, and absolutely love the chalkboard deal sign outside such a traditional family friendly feel. Thank you soo much to all at the ‘pet shop’. Zoe x
Brilliant shop - popped in to pick up some goldfish and the male member of staff was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and that we had done what we needed to do to prepare for taking the fish home. They are thriving over the last few days - only my second time in the shop and I will now use it for all my pet needs. spoke to female staff on first visit who were also extremely helpful and friendly.
Excellent customer service, well cared for healthy livestock and great attention to detail. A decent range of fishkeeping supplies. From time to time I've noticed a few classic new old stock accessories and books on sale and this is great as it makes for a much more interesting range of choice than just the latest available items.

Was meant to be 5 stars not 4...... Shop staff very welcoming. Both staff members that dealt with my query were knowledgeable and friendly giving extra advise on cleaning etc.. Purchased two surprise babies for my mum and she was over the moon with Deeko and Joe banana. Both settled in great.... Would highly recommend this wee treasure of a shop
Thanks so much to the 2 guys who got me a towel to dry my wee dog off and measured him for his new coat. 10 out of 10.
Helpful friendly staff and a great selection for all pets
Great family run business, much fairer prices than other larger pet stores. Had everything I needed for my birds and more. Definitely recommend to any pet owners I live in Paisley and I'm willing to travel for the top service.
Great shop got all my lights at great prices here it transformed my tanks and remote control is fantastic,all the fish and plants good prices too fishtanks are clean and well kept,All staff are very helpful and with free parking close its a shop i would truly recommend
