The Persian is a traditional meze and grill restaurant situated on bustling Princes Avenue serving Lunch and Dinner.

Persian cuisine has a rich history and uses lots of fresh herbs as well as fuites such as pomegranate and forest berries. At The Persian we use age old recipes and add our own twist to them to present you a hearty and typical culinary Persian experience – from the typical Kebab Koobideh to the daily specials which transport you to Persia.

The best Persian food outside the Persian world. Delicate rice, firm and silky, with a delicious buttery flavour. Succulent cuts of lamb and chicken, perfectly bbq'd and seasoned to give a wonderful smokey flavorful explosion in the mouth. Creamed spinach, balanced with cumin, firey prawns with mint, cucumber, yoghurt dip. All served up with enough nan to mop up every last drop. And all for less than £13.00. A victory for flavour at The Persian restaurant in Hull.

Came here with my girlfriend for what we hoped was a romantic evening we'd read he reviews and our friends had reccomended it. The food and speedy however after we wanted one of the mains amended after realising that the main had beef in it even though the menu stated it was "lamb and chicken kebab" the waiter/owner became confrontational and argued with both myself and my girlfriend even though we just wanted the kebab off the plate. Overall decent food but the bad service ruined the night.

Great little Iranian restaurant. Good food, friendly owner and attentive staff. Couldn't fault a think. Zereshk polo is great for a main meal and the Saffron ice cream is a must try for dessert. They make it themselves!

Wonderful Persian good. Subtle, delicate flavour contrasts nicely with very generous portions.
