Very nice pub. Good selection of food and drinks. There are also discounts for students. If you're not used to the Scottish weather like me, may be a little bit windy and rainy.

Superb outdoor beer garden, loads of tables and a huge screen showing sports!  Also changed layout inside giving lots more space, find memories of downing yards of ale in the old island bar but those days are, sadly, long gone!

Beautiful old building and outside space. Fantastic staff and service. Highly recommend a visit for a wee cocktail or two in the sunshine.

Large beer garden with an huge Tele for sport. Please tell bouncers, but the area is target for uni folk.

Lovely in principal but abruptly asked to leave after spending a lot of money and atmosphere was dead. Much better buying a 4 pack of tennants and going to the meadows

Helpful and accommodating staff. Huge outdoor area for central Edinburgh, so easier to meet for a pub meal and drinks. Food OK, drinks better.

Great food, had spicy wings and loaded chips, kids had mac n cheese, drinks came very quickly, would go again

Nice location and pub experience was ok. Plus points for rapid service, but only 3 stars because of unfriendly, unwelcoming and intimidating staff at the entrance

Rather pricey drink but a lovely setting with great staff.
