Quirky.... Lovely rooms, very tidy and freshly renovated. Very small bar area, not serving food pizza oven Thur, Fri, Saturday., but good selection of local beers. Polite staff and cozy atmosphere, large rear garden with undercover seating. Seemingly large kitchen and store rooms, which is strange in this day an age, not to be put to better use serving food, especially breakfast and even light bite bar food. Would I stay again, definitely. Rooms: Lovely suite, big clean and very pleasant. Walkability: Nice walks in and around the area Food & drinks: No food being served. Nice local ales, got breakfast at the nearby Malthouse kitchen at the brewery, and the other pub in the village does good evening meals.
This is an excellent British pub. I drove down from Sutton Coldfield on this particular Saturday and came across this pub, as I was hungry I decided to stop for a bite to eat. A proper home made delicious pizza was the order of the day, tasty warm and filling it was. Not only that this pub is not like most pubs these days it has its own character and not one of these numerous 'Theme' pubs we all visit. You can tell by the devoted and friendly locals and the very welcoming greeting you get from the ever present landlady. Visit this pub, you will not regret it. Phillip Dews
I'm giving it 4 stars only because the kitchen was closed and there was no good available. Otherwise a nice village pub with excellent beer. If you want to tour the Cotswolds this is the kind of place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
As usual a most pleasant pub. Friendly staff, good beer, good local buzz and excellent pizzas. Good old traditional pubs like this are hard to find and The Pear Tree does it well
Lovely place to stay really comfortable bed. And friendly staff. Big beer garden and near to the brewery. No food at moment there if you want a breakfast go to the brewery hook Norton wonderful breakfast.
Local pub, small inside but massive gardens. Would be a great visit in the summer.

Lovely pub with great value spacious rooms. Husband loves the Hook Norton beer. We stayed the half term week in Feb when the weather was biblical. Breakfast was at the brewery up the road where the food and service were both fantastic. We will be back.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful Country Pub in a quiet part of a pretty village. The staff were fabulous and the locals very friendly too. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, tea, coffee, water and a bottle of local beer in rooms. We tied it in with a Tap night at the Hook Norton Brewery just a few mins walk where we had a very enjoyable evening, good food and vouchers towards a lovely breakfast in the morning at the Malthouse too. Highly recommend. We also popped over to Chipping Norton to visit Diddly Squat Farm shop and actually spoke to ‘Gerald’ ! We were a family group of 5 and were made very welcome by all. Thank you for a great stay.
Always a pleasure to come here- lovely little pub and lovely big beer garden, - partly undercover - and the Hook Norton heavy horses pulling the dray stop here on Thursdays I thinkLocation: 5/5
