A first visit, lovely atmosphere and great food. Friendly service and worth the drive from north of Banbury. We loved every course, from sharing flatbread starter, to surf n turf: bavette steak cooked perfectly medium rare and served with prawns and piping hot crispy chips. We had sticky toffee pudding him and chocolate teardrop me for dessert. The home made honeycomb was excellent - as was the light chocolate mousse.
Excellent atmosphere and food we had skinny chips with truffle and Parmesan and the gem wedges It was the first pub visit for our rescue puppy and he was welcomed by the pub Labrador. Definitely recommend
Came here after seeing it when I was driving past one day. The staff are friendly as soon as you arrive and the decor is perfect for the old building its in. The food was amazing and we couldn't find anything wrong with it, the Sunday lunch menu is value for money 2 courses for £17.50 or 3 for £22.50. I would highly recommend visiting here as it really is brilliant. Thank you
It is a pleasure to write a review on such a wonderful place. From the excellent quality and selection of Beers and Ales to the overall excellence of the food everything at this classic pub is first rate. The care and appreciation of place and quality shines through in the hospitality of the owners. Meals receive the highest amount of attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients is immediately apparent in the taste of the food. While everything was good I especially recommend you leave room for the home made deserts, they are fantastic. Sunday roast is not to be missed. Thank you to Derron and his team for his hospitality during our recent stay. This pub is worth finding.
After a local walk we stopped here for some lunch. Beautiful location and building. Staff very helpful and attentive. I ordered the cheese+chutney baguette - which was delicious. And the Windrush Ale from North Cotswold Brewery was delicious. Dropped a star for the long wait for my baguette. Lovely place - and I'd happily visit again.
The tastiest gluten free sticky toffee pudding ever. Really friendly staff. Highly recommend. Great ambience even in corona times.
Lovely pub. Helpful friendly staff. Great food.
Took some friends for a meal. Girls catch up. Really good food. The owners and staff all lovely and welcoming. For a nice relaxed meal out and good food it's perfect, as was the steak I had. Will be back soon
Simply divine! The pub itself is nestled in such a beautiful location, but that's not all it has to offer... Whilst enjoying the quaint village views, you can also tuck in to delicious food, in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The lovely staff go above and beyond to give you a fabulous dining experience. The Thai curry is a firm favourite but I'd also highly recommend coming on a Sunday for a Wykham Arms Roast!
Loved it! Great village pub with great food and nice people. The youngsters serving were good fun and efficient. We had a table of 9 that they handled with ease. The food was delicious from an adventurous menu for all tastes. Good parking and Covid precautions.
