Lovely little tea house. Great selection of teas. Come when they have food. Saw the menu and will have to come back. Update: went back for dinner and a live jazz show. What an amazing place this is. Well worth the trek when in Waterford.
Classic vintage tea room. Lovely building Serves tea, alcohol and food. Went with friends we only had drinks, but the food seemed nice. Lovely decor and friendly staff.. Lovely place for date, catching up with friends, or a night out
My first Time visiting Waterford. I love it. I Visited The Parlour Tea rooms with a friend and Its set in one of Waterford's historic buildings. Its a place to to take you back in time and you can shut out the modern world with its design and beautiful decor. The staff are so friendly and the Food is home made and so delightful . Its definitely worth a visit. Give yourself a little treat when you visit this amazing city.
Found this place at the end of our day out and loved it. The tearoom is magical from the minute you walk in. The music, all the vintage pictures, the memorabilia and the friendly staff make this a wonderful place for tea or something to eat. Would highly recommend it.
April 2018, i was invited to a tea by my former photography teacher to this place. Though I am not a tea person I decided to give it a try and joined the rest of class to this place, outside it looked like any other random place but alas the inside of it, is like a sanctuary of souls yearning for finer taste, souls trying to piece the past and future life. Yes the place is so classic, quiet and Inviting, rich in history, literatures, photographs and all memorabilia. I was left speechless and wished that the place could be open for every soul to explore. But the beauty of this place wouldn’t have been possible without their lovely staff. It’s worth a recommendation. Looking forward for another tea even though I am not a tea person but this place could make one befriend event that which he/she may consider an arch enemy
Absolutely love this place. Oooooooooooodles of character. The decor, an eclectic mix of 19th century and early 20th century European "stuff" creates an environment you could easily wile hours away over the tasty drinks and food. Definitely, stop by and enjoy the buzz.
Really alternative cafe and i don't think you'd find friendlier staff anywhere else. Very busy when we went in on a Saturday but we were seated quickly. The food was lovely, big portionsband priced fairly. You can get wraps, pizzas, blaas, soup and sandwiches and there are plenty of different teas and cakes available too. Would definitely come again.
Please note this review is specifically for the Tipple Room, as part of The Parlour. After dinner we went looking for somewhere nice to have a drink, and we discovered the Tipple Room. It wasn't crowded, the decor was vintage-kitsch, the lighting was soft, and the atmosphere was very friendly. Wine and beer were served, and there was soft live music. Highly recommended to anyone above 30, looking for an evening chatting with friends.
Wonderful atmosphere. A fantastic place to enjoy an afternoon. The decorations and paintings are lovely and add a perfect vintage touch. I find a new little treasure every time I go.
Beautiful hidden gem in Waterford city center. Excellent staff and lovely food. Waitresses very attentive and helpful. Couldn't compliment Sarah Jane and her mum Jane highly enough they went above and beyond for us and especially my elderly grandmother.... it was like a trip down memory lane for her. Thankyou so much again
