Lovely pub for a special occasion meal and the atmosphere inside is lovely. The staff are all friendly and very professional and the decor is both cosy and sophisticated. The bar area is quite small and on a busy night it can be quite crowded if you’re wanting a drink before the meal but fortunately the tables in the main dining area are much more spacious. The menu has a good range and all the dishes were served in good time, presented beautifully. The portion sizes made for good value and everything was cooked perfectly. Overall it was a really enjoyable meal and I can’t wait to return, even for a special occasion.
Had dinner on a Saturday night. There was a large party in the conservatory so thought things may slip, but everything was great. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and amazing staff.
Good pub lovely surroundings. First time at this venue. Good choice off beers and ales. Ordered tomatoe and halloumi bruschetta for a starter. Bruschetta bread was so hard as to be brittle. Ordered lamb main which was fine steak main with peppercorn butter unfortunately peppercorn was unavailable so my wife had blue cheese instead and i had moulles frittes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I I would definitely return.
Absolutely amazing food and the friendliest staff. From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing with our kids, drinks within 5 minutes off arriving, lovely atmosphere and great menu. Highly recommend
Nice atmosphere nice food and a vegan choice which is a bonus. Lovely garden on warm days. Very pleasant staff and reasonable priced food. Worth a visit if your passing.
Went for a roast on New Years Day with 3 adults and 3 children. The food was lovely but the service was very slow, we waited a long time for food to come out and it wasn't particularly busy. Very nice pub though.
Awfull service, poor food. Steaks all 3 ordered 1 x rare 2x medium rare. Rare came well done others medium. 4 dishes on lunch menu. Fish not available. Pie came cold in middle had to send back!! Got the next pie after everyone had finished. Don't think will go back. Shame as love the decor
Last year we came for a lunch in the "twixmas" week and it was absolutely lovely. In the interim, someone has changed your menu, with a couple of exceptions, to overpriced pub grub. The staff were lovely the food was quite acceptable BUT it did not compare to last year. Sorry.
Very conflicted with this review! I want a 3.5 star rating. Lovely venue but for a Tuesday to walk in and be told almost half the menu was sold out was a disappointing start. Food wise we went for the 4 for £20 on the starters which were incredible and a good mix of food despite the out of stock items! The main course we went for a double burger. It was a shame as both burger patty’s had been over cooked, burnt on the edges and very tough. I managed half before having to give in.
The food is good from a varied menu, not over-expensive. Service can be rather slow. Good pub services. Plenty of space. Car park.
