A Hungry Horse in all its glory. This one is located on the scenic Penarth marina. Was very busy but staff were coping very well and managed expectations with realistic wait times. Despite being full house, staff were attentive & friendly, making for a good experience
We had a beautiful meal. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back. Fast service aswell.
Popped in for lunch on Monday. I ordered the Sunday Best Burger. Was nice, the gravy tasted weird. I couldn't pin point what the taste was. The staff were brilliant, really friendly and chirper. We'll be going again
What a lovely place to eat. The staffs are really good and food is delicious. If you coming all the way from Cardiff Bay and walking towards embankment that would be perfect place to have fish and chips. Beautiful surrounding and lovely view.
Been here a few times now, staff are always friendly, service and atmosphere is great. Candice suggested the Korean BBQ burger and I really enjoyed it. We'll come back to try the Sunday dinner
Value for money was on point. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Beer garden on a waterfront... Why not? Update 20 Aug 2022 - Had to downgrade the original review. Seems the place has become rather inconsistent with the food. Items overcooked and undercooked on the same plate. Other meals arrive cold. Disappointing from such a beautiful location.
Had a lovely meal with my family today. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful, from the manager who naturally has that 'nothing is a problem I'm happy to help' attitude to those bringing our food with a smile, all were faultless. The food was tasty and the portions very generous - I won't be eating again today! And when my niece asked if she could take the other half of her huge chicken sandwich home , they put it in a nice box for her which made her day. I will definitely be returning at some point. Thank you!
Booked a table because of recommendations from friends. The staff were attentive even though the place was busy. After a short wait for food it was delivered with a welcoming smile. The food was, in my opinion, outstanding. It was well presented, hot and above all very tasty. I had a small issue that was of my making but sorted very quickly and efficiently by Simon. His efforts and helpful manner made our stay not just enjoyable but also memorable. Thankyou Oystercatcher for a wonderful evening.
Excellent value for money. Had to queue quite a time for food but guy processing orders was quick. Sadly frier on blink so no fish and chips and they did get my wife's dish wrong. However when it came it was vast and we had a free dessert which was excellent. Go early for lunch as around 1pm queue was out of door.
Absolutely disgraceful the food we was served today..arrived to be told it was an hour wait for food which was fine ordered food to the value of over £70 for myself partner and four children, steaks came burnt cold chips and onion rings,my sons lasagne full of Grease completely inedible and told his chips would follow "in about 5 minutes" two children's roasts with burnt potatoes..infact I wouldn't even give it one star..appalling.
