This was a nice pub lunch. The service was good and the food was ok. I had the cheese and onion pie with chips and beans - it was a little burned on top which made it taste a little funny. All in all it was a good cheese and onion pie and the chips where lovely. My friend had the burger and chips which where really nice. The setting is lovely and comfy and cosey warm. Seemed very popular as around 1pm every table was filled. Would recommend for a quiet lunch
Just had a meal at the Oxford, and i have to say i'm very impressed. The service was outstanding, every member of staff i spoke to was polite, well mannered and always looking to help, with drinks offered regularly and brought to the table. The food was excellent, very well priced and extremely well cooked. Its no surprise that all the tables were full and as one emptied it filled again quickly. If you enjoy good quality, locally sourced pub food, with a great atmosphere and excellent customer service, i would highly recommend stopping in at the Oxford. Well done Team McNeeney

Really nice place enjoyed my cheese and onion pie, staff was very attentive, nice atmosphere drinks rather expensive, knocked one star off due to lack of choice of desserts nothing for chocolate lovers like myself.
Great pub and lovely food. The guy who served us was really personable and made us feel very welcome. Even when I requested all my food not to be touching! Yes I'm that awkward customer haha. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning for more non touching food!
I visited on a very busy day and I ordered a pint of Beavertown IPA and the homemade cheese and onion pie meal which I would say were both reasonably priced on the face if it. The meal took almost 50 minutes to arrive. The pie was cut into a fairly small rectangle shape with a thick filling. It tasted quite nice. A small portion of chips, very similar to a weatherspoons chips both in terms of quality and quantity. It came with peas which I opted for. They were decent enough. I had ordered a side of onion rings which were very nice, large and crispy. All in all I’d say the food was a bit overpriced for what I got and I waited quite a long time for it to arrive.
A warm, cosy, festive atmosphere with open fire. One of the best vegan meal I've had in a pub. Well done, usually get short changed being vegan. Very accommodating for our group Xmas party.
After being moved twice some people had walked in sat at the table we had booked and would not move after the upset we had a nice experience. The food was hot and tasty the staff were very apologetic with the situation and did there best to make our stay comfortable. Nice place and would go back. Thanks .
Had a lovely Sunday lunch. We were a party of 3 and pre-booked. It was quite full when we arrived at 1pm. The roast beef dinner was fabulous, cooked to perfection. I had the seabass with smoked haddock fishcake and greens, which was very tasty. The liver & onions was plentiful and well cooked. Creme brulee cheesecake was a great way to finish. Service was attentive and overall excellent. We'll be very happy to eat there again.
What can we say about "THE OXFORD" not much other than its AMAZING ! It's been our local now for quite some time and the family who run it go above and beyond for all of their customers. If you haven't tried this pub then get it on your list. It's not to be missed. Thanks always guys keep up the good work x
