Come and savour classic pub favourites with our own unique twist, The Oxford Blue brings you fine dining in a country pub.The pub dates back to the 1800’s and was originally two game keepers cottages, it was then converted into a traditional Inn and has served the local community ever since, in a number of different guises. The Chef Proprietor, Steven Ellis, has spent the last 10 years developing his skills at some of the top restaurants in the country. Wonderful friendly gastro pub located in old Windsor! Ample parking with nice contemporary decor with good natural light. Restaurant can accommodate roughly 40 guests and has a private room upstairs for 12. Went for weekday lunch and had a wonderful 3 course set meal. £30 for three courses plus 12.5% service charge. Extensive A la Carte menu n good choice for set menu. Pastry chef is particularly good. The blood orange and vanilla custard tart was divine. Meal ended with complimentary homemade Belgian salted caramel dark chocolate with hazelnut..again faultless! I would definitely come back. Lastly but not least the entire restaurant staff were so professional and knowledgeable. Kudos to the entire team at Oxford Blue!
This is a top restaurant - it deserves a Michelin start. All dishes were sensationally tasty and beautifully design. The location is perfectly decorated with particular attention to details. The staff was incredibly helpful and extremely professional. Highly recommended if you are looking for an exceptional restaurant.
I hadn't heard of this place before but now we know about it, it won't be our last time. Is it pricey? Yes. But, is it worth it? YES! In a lovely setting and served by exceptional polite and professional staff the evening started outside with drinks and venison balls We then moved inside to our starters: Freahly baked sourdough bread, Braised Suckling Pigs Trotter and Chicken Liver Parfait = Amazing We followed that up with the 40 Day Dry Aged Cote de Boeuf. It needs no review! It was incredible To end, we had the Chocolate. The whole event was an incredible experience in Taste and Service. I fully recommend this place
Amazing experience! Wonderful food with outstanding presentation. The chefs put everything into their food. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. The front of house manager keeps everything working and makes everyone feel special. Well worth a visit.
Amazing meal out. Top notch service, food and atmosphere! Absolutely must eat here if you are reading this!! If you have Coeliac Disease these guys will cater 100% for you, over and above my expectations down to the details without asking! This is so important as often Coeliac diners feel left out
Awesome place to eat and have a great time. Service exceptional and staff very knowledgeable. Great food and atmosphere. Portions very good size. Reasonable prices and great wines to choose from.
Wonderful food and ambiance nice and relaxed. The service was second to none with lots of nice touches. Would recommend to anyone who truly appreciates good food.
The quality of the food is just fantastic, the interior is beautiful, the whole place radiates quality in every aspect. We had an excellent service there.
The Oxford Blue is a little slice of heaven. The detail and care that go into every part of the dining experience is considered and heavenly. The food is nothing shy of incredible, the wine list will keep you there until the wee hours and the decor and setting are stunning. The staff and most importantly the host Daniel, are charming and attentive. They curate the perfect environment and experience, it doesn’t feel overdone it just feels like they care. I would back again and again, even if it’s just to admire the production. One small thing! Take the ash trays off the veranda tables and replace them with pots of herbs or flowers. Surely wait staff would notice if one were needed and could bring it out accordingly.
Wonderful dining experience with exceptional food. Friendly staff that really make you feel welcome.
