Good traditional pub with plenty of beer and cider choices. Bar itself is quite small but lots of all weather bar seating outside. We stayed in one of the rooms for a couple of nights. They are warm and comfortable but right next to the outside bar area so if you’re staying there wanting an early night, it could be challenging
Came for a drink and dinner. Atmosphere was great! That night food was made by Leona's Bespoke Catering. As vegetarians my wife and I were very impressed by the options, and even more so by the taste. I'd highly recommend dinner there!
Stayed a night in a room above the pub. This was an amazing accommodation with immaculate linens. The pub downstairs was great and far away from the tourist traps near the castle. Wish I could have stayed a few more days but I will be back.
Perfectly positioned for a stay in Windsor. Less than ten minutes walking and you're by the castle and in the heart of the town. The room was well equipped, comfortable and clean. Alongside a very reasonable price, I consider this an excellent place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
Had food from Leona's bespoke menu and think it was one of the best chicken burgers I've had in a while. Really tasty. Definitely recommend. Also it's Dog-friendly :
Great pub with friendly staff. Room was in a cabin next to the beer garden. Own entrance, en-suite bathroom, cable TV, tea and coffee making facilities. No food at the pub but lots of independent restaurants and cafes nearby and food vans visit in the evening. 5 mins walk from Windsor college car park and 15 mins walk into Windsor
Had a night here before going to Legoland warm welcome. Friendly staff clean room and comfortable and not to noisy being a pub, only heard bottle empty once and some noisy guys have a smoke then was all quiet! There were some very noisy welsh ladies turn up about 10pm but thats not the pubs fault! Maybe introduce a noise advice note when entering rooms as they kept slamming the doors and shouting! Not pubs fault but a noise policy would be a great idea as these people had no common sense or consideration for the rooms surrounding them! The rooms are situated at a separate entrance to the pub which was good. The hotel is on a busy street but you couldn’t hear it to be honest. We had dinner at Enzo’s down the road and breakfast at Monty’s! Both amazing places to eat. Everything you could need is literally right there in that street! Theres a reasonable car park across the road to. Room had its own en suite and everything you needed was right there. Well done on how comfy and clean it was.
Favorite local pub! Love the Blue Moon on tap! Friendly service and there’s a proper Italian pizza caterer on Thursday and Friday.
Stayed there last Friday, the room was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and the pub itself was lovely with very friendly locals... I would definitely stay again lovely place Windsor for a short break, and the Trooper Windsor is perfect place to stay.
Didn't stay there so couldn't rate the rooms. Nice pub for drinks but very basic limited foidService: 5/5
