I struggled for a long time to find a chinese takeaway with high standards, and the original taste is definitley a a super friendly, awesome chinese takeaway with a brilliant and varied menu, and also them high standards that are important to me. They have vegetarian options which is great for my house, literally everything i order is very very tasty and cooked to perfection. The chap who takes the order is a top bloke, and to be fair everybody in there are really nice people, they take an interest in their customers and invest in them. I never get delivery because i live miles away (but worth the drive) but i feel driving to collect makes more sense as i pick it up as soon as its cooked, and i have never been disappointed. Thats in over 2 years! Always amazing food!!!!! Thanks original taste team for being consistently great! Danny

Having previously used this takeaway on numerous occasions and having been very happy with the food we ordered a takeaway on Saturday night and ended up throwing it away. We ordered via phone and was told there would be a 50 minute wait which is not unusual, when we arrived for collection, they were running behind and waited a further minutes which was fine. However on returning home and sitting down to eat the meal, my 12 year old son asked me to check the chicken in his sweet & sour chicken as it didn't look right. On closer inspection the chicken was found to be raw, I was also having sweet & sour chicken. We immediately contacted the takeaway, the chap on the phone was was quite nonchalant and said next time we ordered we could have a replacement meal for the sweet & sour chicken. Rather than us risk illness, all of the food was thrown in the bin. we will not be eating or ordering from here again.

Ordered from here and the chicken was bright pink ! I rang and told them the chicken was pink they didn't understand what I meant and their response was what colour is it and what are you trying to say . So I said the chicken is not cooked and is bright pink inside. I was put on hold and was then told I don't know how this has happened we have just cut through the same chicken we used for you and it is definitley cooked . I responded do you want me to send a picture this chicken is not cooked it is pink and I am not eating it and I am pregnant. He then refused to give me a refund but said he will chip something in when I next order ... I will not be ordering from here again.
