Original review: Great place for a pizza. Nothing different to the rest of pizza express chain. Edited review. Have to say this chain has got better and they are trying new pizzas and new bases. It is good to see a chain move on with changing times and this is a good example of changes. They have got Vegan options and their very thin dough pizza is very good. Service is ok and not much hanging around to be served.
Excellent, attentive wait staff, good service and tasty pizza. Recommend the Sicilian Lemonade.
My mam and I attended the restaurant on Monday evening. Really prompt and smooth service. Our server Molly was fantastic, can’t sing her praises enough. She had really great menu knowledge and treated us at the end of the meal to a little taster of the new lime & basil ice cream that we were in two minds about getting. The host who took us to our table was lovely and very helpful with allergen queries. Food was spot on, can’t go wrong with that Spinach and Egg pizza and the Bosco Salad was heavenly. Thanks for a gorgeous evening all round.

Value for money has crashed hugely. Don't order any garlic butter, that's extra now. Don't order dessert, they're tiny now, and definitely don't pay cash - use vouchers, as it's the only way to get any value from pizza express now. Such a shame. Won't be racing back ...Food: 3/5
No criticism of staff, they worked really hard and were very friendly and helpful. Waiting an hour for mains with 4 kids, they need to decide if they’re a takeaway or a restaurant. Backsides in 2 saddles and your falling through the gap. Food really average and Ceaser salad was dire! Crazy prices for drinks. Dietary restrictions: Excellent options and service for coeliacs. Kid-friendliness: Very comfortable and stress free with kids.
We were the only diners in restaurant, hence the atmosphere score. Disappointed the Manager was not prepared to change an ingredient in the calzone pizza which other Pizza Express restaurants are only too happy to do. As a result, my wife chose something else off the menu which she didn't really want. No issues with waitress service but inflexibility of Manager, referred to above, reason for service score.
We at 6 pm. There was no more than five or six other tables in at that time. A couple of twos and four fours, one of which was paying the bill. It took 10 minutes for our drinks order to be placed and a further 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to eat. An hour and 10 minutes later having us where our food is, the doughballs finally arrived. We are now an hour and 40 into the meal is and there’s no sign of a mains. Parched having finished our drinks over an hour ago. We are yet to be asked if everything is okay. When the mains arrived and it was past 8 o’clock. To add to the issues the pizza o received was not what I ordered. I was told “I’m sorry we sold out, please accept this as a replacement”. We received little no apology or explanation to why the food took so long. What was meant to be a quick pizza slowly turned into an annoying night sat around. I was pretty clear deliveroo takes priority to the dine in customers.
Always enjoy coming here. This time round though the experience was even better. Greeted by a lovely waitress who seated us to our table called Annie and impeccable service throughout the meal. Even more impressive was the hands on manager Aaron, making us feel welcome from the get go, thank you for adding some character to The Pizza Express Family! Food Delicious as always, 10/10
Really enjoyable meal with the family tonight. The waiter didn't get him name sadly was excellent and friendly. It's good value for money - don't forget student discount! We would highly recommend visiting for a nice relaxed meal
