We went here for my daughter's birthday and arrived just before 19.30 on a Thursday it was quite quiet with only a few tables occupied. We ordered the meal deal which was a starter, main course with rice and a drink for £8.30. The food was lovely as we're the staff. We had a mixture of meat eaters and vegetarians and we were all catered for. In fact it was easier for the vegetarian to find something to eat than normally when we eat out. Will definitely be returning.
The £3.50 lunch box takeaways on Thursdays and Fridays are great, especially the singapore noodles. We tried evening takeaway once and it was tasty but some of the portions were minute especially starters - extremely expensive for the serving size. I haven't tried the restaurant itself yet but would like to go based on the quality of the takeaway lunches.
Excellent Bitters, Staff, Decor, Seating, OK Beer Garden, hence four stars, Good Staff. Used to be my local but I happen to like pubs that are less crowded like the Ashley which is a bit more sophisticated and really more for posh diners not Piss Head's which busy pubs attract.
I'm not one to moan about food and go out of my way to post negative reviews but I have just had the worst Chinese I've ever had. I'm actually quite angry about it, I spent £36 on food and the best part about it was the chips. Won't be going again, chucked most of it in the bin.
Lovely restaurant. Nice, friendly attentive staff and delicious food. Really enjoy every time we visit and good value for money .
Having spent 20 years working around the country on railway projects, I have lived on plenty of takeaways - this is without doubt the best I have ever had - great tasting food with great portion sizes
