We often come here after a stroll round the lake. We are always well looked after by the staff and the food and coffee is really good. It’s definitely worth a visit next time you are by the lake.
Lovely little cafe which is often very busy. Well worth reserving a table. Great range of breakfast/lunch type food and a variety of freshly homemade cakes on offer. When it is busy service can take a long time. It took 25 mins to get 2 milkshakes and a tea last time we were there, but the staff are nice and will always do their best to accommodate you.
We called in for a hot drink and a cake each at about 3pm today. There were about 3 tables busy out of 18 ? Placed our order then waited 25 minutes for it to arrive. Not particularly a problem, we’re retired and can watch the world go by. People on 2 other tables nearby commented on the slow service. Out of our 4 things we’d ordered 2 of them were wrong and when I pointed this out was met with a grudging acknowledgement. I paid the bill and when asked whether everything was ok I told them no not really and was told it wasn’t really a big problem for was it ! Obviously a massive training issue - be warned.
Very nice lunch in this popular busy! Cafe. Lots of friendly staff though, so food was coming out quite quickly. Will come back again when going for a walk around the lakeFood: 5/5
Lots of tables pushed very closely together, very cramped! Not pram friendly at all, luckily I decided to carry my little one in as I wouldn't have been able to get the pram between the tables. The food itself was nice, coffee was lovely, but cramming lots of tables into such a small space doesn't make for a nice experience.
Very rude, unwelcoming staff. No manners whilst serving and not one member of staff smiled. Would not recommend and would not go again. Although the Latte was the best latte I’d had though. The chicken on the club sandwich was like chewing a flip flop, had to take it off.
So we called in for a coffee and from the get go the staff came across so unwelcoming and not a smile in site! The atmosphere felt very awkward not to mention the manager/management was talking about something very inappropriate regarding an other staff member …. Also the cutlery was gross . Definitely won’t be returning.
Was good. Food was a little expensive but great. £5:95 for a bacon and sausage Barm. Service was a bit slow. Needs improvement.Food: 3/5
Good looking food, fine coffee though the service slips at busy times.Food: 4/5
Horrendous experience, made to feel so unwelcome for even asking for a table to cater for my family. One being a 6month old in a pram and a 6 year old in a wheelchair. Tried to explain we could fold the wheelchair up and everything seemed to be an issue, the facial expressions said it all. Other guests even offered to move to give a Soloution. Would rather have been told it was fully booked rather than stood like a lemon while watching two staff discuss why it wouldn't work . Having a 6 year old in a wheelchair having a life saving transplant is hard enough, but being made to feel like he’s the problem just doesn’t cut it. Absolute disgrace.
