Booked for a birthday meal, as my parter has wanted to eat here for a while. We were definitely not disappointed, with the whole experience and that's what your visit to this restaurant is, an experience in fine dining. From the second you walk in the door, to the moment you leave, the service is attentive, but respectful and without fault. Small it may be but the restaurant never feels crowded, with plenty of space to allow your meal that sense of intimacy. The Vintage kitchen range and other period features of this old building add to the atmosphere and the restaurant is crisply painted white and spotlessly clean. The wine list is quality without being overpriced and we chose the Rioja, a good quality full bodied Spanish red to complement our meal, which I can highly recommend. The menu is compact but features the highest quality local ingredients. From hand dived scallops to Prime Fillet of Beef and a dessert featuring Summer Berries, Shortbread, Elderflower and Clotted Cream Ice Cream, the food was cooked to perfection and presented with flair and passion. The waiters clearly share the passion for the food and explain each dish with obvious enthusiasm. All I can say in conclusion is, we hope to return soon.

The food is excellent the atmosphere and restaurant are welcoming. The staff are wonderful very knowledgeable and ensured our visit was truly memorable

We went as a party of 12 as a farewell for some good friends. Food was fabulous, good choice (including veggie options), very fresh, spot on. Served quickly as well, considering how many of us there were. Good choice of wine at reasonable prices. Heartily recommended.
