Cant recommend this beautiful quirky pub enough not one thing bad to say. It is our favourite pub in Seahouses & we visit several times a year. Always have at least one meal food superb as is the service & staff. We came for the Sunday sleepover which includes dinner b&b fantastic value for money. The rooms are absolutely beautiful very clean nice selection of tea coffee biscuits & bottled water which were replaced Mon as we stayed a extra night. Definitely recommend a visit
Very accommodating for our large party on a Sunday lunchtime and managed to seat us upstairs in the function room area which has fantastic views. Food was excellent with a little wait, but this was due to another large party which we were aware of when booking recommended. Service was fantastic, Ashley, if you're reading this, you couldn't have done a better job and we appreciate the service you provided! Highly recommend the Olde Ship Inn! Food & drinks: Great food and wide selection of drinks.
We didn't stay over but had a fantastic meal. The waitress was fabulous with my kids. Can recommend whole heartedly the salmon chowder. It was delicious One of my children had a cheeseburger and the quality of the meat was top notch. He wolfed the whole thing to my surprise as he often leaves food but cleaned his plate here. Good selection of alcoholic drinks. Seemed pricey but I guess that's the cost of living and we didn't mind as it was such a good overall experience. We will be back. Thank you
Been to Seahouses loads never been in here for food, booked for Sunday lunch today and boy this was amazing, the food was delicious the staff were so friendly Kim our server was hilarious so down to earth an amazing lady made our day. The ambiance was superb like a museum so quirky, they also have an outside area been in here for a drink has a great view. Would highly recommend and I would definitely return
Drove up from South Wales to meet up with friends from the US. All our rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The bar is something else - bustling but cozy and lovely and warm with an open fire we were there in March. Really good range of drinks - beers and spirits - and food smelt and looked great. However, we ate in restauant. Service there was brilliant. Both friendly and really attentive. Food was great and breakfasts were as good as it gets. If you like maritime memorabilia, that's another reason to stay at the Olde Ship. Maritime artefacts everywhere. It's like an incredibly well stocked mini-museum. Finally, we had to leave quite early on the morning of departure. Reception and the lady in the restaurant and the chef all bent over backwards to help us. What a great place to stay and what fabulous service!
Lovely couple if nights away, Lovely hotel very interesting. Breakfast very good but if you want eggs benedict ask for a jug of sauce.Mine looked like a dessert covered in custard..it tasted good though. Valentines meal was night but some dishes very pricey.Hotel highlightsRomantic
I just love this place! The interior of the lounge bar is something to behold and worth the visit alone. Good beer is also available as is good home cooked meals. Beer garden is pretty special too if the weathers kind.
Popped in tonight for beer and dinner. Very quiet and bar was nearly empty but apparently fully booked for food. Beer excellent, service good, however when I went to the gents I had to squeeze passed people drinking beer blocking the passage to the toilets rather than drinking their beer in the bar! Very odd and quiet unnerving! Suggest you lock the cubicle door!
Happy accident visiting here. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again. Food & drinks: Food was excellent. Good quality, good portion size. Would definitely recommend
First staff are very nice and friendly. The establishment is clean. We went for Christmas lunch and without question was the worst i have ever eaten. £85 per person not worth the cost at all. My husband and i both had the same smoked salmon with crab. The crab was mixed with diced potatoes, never had that couldn't taste crab and there was no garnish, i had to ask my husband what it was. Mains was fish which was so small i asked if the chef had run out of fish, the main course was replaced, but the leeks were old fibrous i couldn't swallow the leeks as it made me gag and had to spit it in my napkin. The fish was fresh but had no taste and the potatoe rosti was just greasy. The meal was inedible. Cheese course was good. The £50 off the bill made a welcome gesture but Christmas lunch was spoiled we had travelled a long way for this disappointing meal. I doubt we will return to eat at this establishment, not recommended
