Lovely place, neat and clean with beautiful location. Good service and the food was excellent. The winter special is a great deal. The standard room is basic but fine, it opens onto the parking area at least the one we had, so it feels a bit like a motel. The other rooms are better located and probably worth the extra. Food & drinks: The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and very flavourful. A bit on the expensive side, but a good deal with the accommodation. The grilled salmon main could probably do with a bit more than 4 new potatoes, but all in all a lovely meal.
Such a stunning restaurant and pub. We were served quickly and with really good food. Our food was really, really top notch and tasted amazing. The staff were wonderful and friendly without being too talkative and pushy. The views are out this world.Rooms: 5/5
We checked in at 15:00 and was given the key to room 60. Excellent accommodation with a rolling shower of f you need it, right off the car park. Zero view but very comfortable indeed. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Right on the Seahouses harbour, excellent position. Food is good and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will go back later in the year.
We’ve just stayed 2 nights in this fantastic Inn. They do everything right here. Friendly staff, great food and drink and very comfortable rooms. The Inn has a great location right on the harbour at Seahouses and is prime for exploring the beautiful area around. I’d recommend a walk from the Inn to Bamburgh Castle and back on the fantastic beach then enjoy what the the Inn had to offer. We’ll definitely be back!
Having just spent Christmas at The Bamburgh Castle Inn, in the company of my stepdaughter, her husband and their dog, I have so say that generally I loved the place. We had twinned room 20 - sea view and balcony, rather a lot of stairs. The room is spacious, spotlessly clean with very comfy beds, lots of seating and it is in a quiet area. Depending on how long you are staying, the clothes hanging space might be a tad limited. The balcony is quite long with fabulous views. Occasionally, even thought was December, it was warm enough to use the balcony but the chairs would never completely dry on short days. A couple of plastic covered cushions stored inside would have been welcome. The bathroom sink is under the sloping roof, meaning that at some point you are likely to bang your head. Also, the large central tap made the use of the sink a little limited. Generous bath and good over bath shower although a grab handle would have been appreciated. Always warm, dry towels from the heated towel rail. The hairdryer was excellent but finding a socket to plug into that would allow access to a mirror was difficult. Take an extension lead or your own mirror. The room is warm. We turned the radiator off on arrival and did not need it back on until the last day of our stay there is a fan if you are staying in the summer months. All the food we had was delicious. The staff all worked very hard although bar service was perhaps a little slow with all food and drink to be ordered from the one or two members of staff who were serving. Once ordered delivery is pretty quick and portions are extremely generous. Breakfast is a help yourself buffet of either cooked food or or croissant. We found the staff in the restaurant/bar friendly and helpful. The rooms were not serviced during the period we were there unless requested. The hotel was full for the Christmas break and the staff did a superb job on Christmas Day serving so many people hot, well presented food. This hotel is dog friendly - very dog friendly - but there is an area within the bar/restaurant that is dog free if you prefer. This is perhaps a review of minor points. That is because I could find very little to fault. I would certainly go back and to the same room. The people we were with did have their break spoiled by a billing problem on checking out but I believe the chap on check out duty did everything to resolve the discrepancies.
Really lovely weekend, we were looking for a cosy hotel with good food, good beer, nice room dog friendly. We weren't disappointed, staff were great, helping change to a quiet table so our collie could watch what was going on at a comfortable distance. Relaxed atmosphere, highly recommend.Rooms: 4/5
If you listen carefully you can hear the battles trapped in the history of the castle walls. We lost over 4 hours here, it was a great day. The staff are a real asset, everyone was so knowledgeable and helpful. A really really good day out, thank you all
Popped in for drinks. Lovely welcoming dog friendly pub and friendly staff. I did think it was expensive though nearly £15 for a pint, 2 Pepsi's and a pack of dog biscuitsService: 4/5
We were given an voucher worth £50 last Xmas to spend at any of the inn collection venues. We decided to go for an evening meal at the Bamburgh hotel, The staff were very helpful however the meal we had was a huge disappointment. We had potato skins to share as a starter, which was ok, we then waited over 30 minutes before the waitress came to take our plate away. 10 minutes later our mains arrived. I ordered the Cajun chicken burger with chips. The burger consisted of a brioche bun with a tiny piece of lettuce, one very thin slice of tomato, a piece of grilled chicken with a dollop of Cajun sauce plopped onto the chicken. The chips would have been lovely it they weren’t so hard in the middle. No side salad, coleslaw, actually no presentation whatsoever. Very very disappointed.
Terrible. Easy lunch of soup with bread and for my husband veggie sausages on a roll. What could go wrong. Arrived late. Arrived cold. No one around to speak to and the queue at the bar was so long. Waited for our meals to be taken from the table for a hopeful reprieve of dessert. Neither happened. Left hungry, fed up and a little bit out of pocket.
