Fantastic place to go and eat. Really great setting to eat. Really great tasty food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A little on the expensive side but you pay for what you get. We went on two nights it was that good. I had the lamb and the steak which were great. I would definitely recommend it and I would definitely go back.
Really good pub serving a range of beers, gins & cocktails. Log burner blazing in the fireplace so nice and toasty on a cold winter evening. We didn't eat hers but the menu looked very appealing and the goid looked top notch, will be having a meal here the next time we're at Seahouses. Well worth a visit.Service: 5/5
A very warm welcoming for the start Nice premises An outstanding food with a genuine creative care and touch The César salad respected the variety of textures whether from monk fish bacon or garlic croutons! And the curry was very earthy and well balanced . We had a great time
Popped in for a quick and quiet pint whilst visiting Seahouses. The pub is a little bit out of the way of the main high street / coast and it was quieter than I expected. Opted for a local ale, glad I did. Staff were helpful and patient whilst deciding on drinks order. Did not order any food. It looks like there is a beer garden at the venue as well, but I chose to sit indoors with my partner. Well worth a visit if you're out and about in Seahouses.
Superb refurbishment, and presented to a very high standard. Menu looks amazing Only went to try drinks . Cannot fault this new bar / restaurant, however my only concern is that maybe prices do not reflect the current climate , and are a tad on the High sides as we found out when ordering drinks . The niche status The Black Swan will no doubt draw in a certain paying clientele - I wish it well
An absolutely fabulous meal the freshest oysters I've probably ever had.
We had an early dinner on Saturday evening. The restaurant area is smart and was buzzing. The staff were equally smart, professional and friendly. I'm a vegetarian but the winter menu only had a single vegetarian option - a starter. Before even ordering the drinks, I spoke to one of the staff who said that the kitchen would be able to readily cook me a vegetable curry version of their seafood curry. I also noticed that there was pan-fried gnocchi on the children's menu. In the end, I had the latter as a main course, which was very nice. My wife had the fish & chips, and she said it was the nicest fish she'd had for a long time. We had the brownie and cheesecake desserts, also very nice but we were stuffed at the end. They serve a non-alcoholic beer, although I can't remember which brand. Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian options on the winter menu but the kitchen is flexible
Called in for lunch and wasn't disappointed, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We decided on the lite lunch menu and settled on the Fish finger stottie and the tempura Battered soft shell Crab burger both delicious Finished off with espresso martinis. Very enjoyable lunch,so good we are going back tomorrow!!
Lose the unisex toilets. Great place great vibe good staff but no place for a shared toilet Sorry sorry but I was in twice today and on both occasions the men DID NOT watch their hands and DID NOT put the seat down. I do not want to share a toilet with men. Ask any women and I'm sure they would have the same view. It's wrong and I won't return on that basis
Had a light lunch here after a walk up the coastal path from Beadnell. Really nice food and beer. The sunny outside courtyard is great so too is the bar and inside restaurant area. Excellent and friendly service from dedicated people. Thanks.
