After a walk to the beach, we were in need of coffee and cake. Where better than The Old Village Bakery - or Badgers Tea Rooms?
We were slightly disappointed when we entered as the tables were all taken......but then we noticed the garden courtyard - a lovely sheltered area with a few tables and sculptures. We settled in and a menu was soon in our hands - coffees all round and a flapjack for the wife and I.
The coffees soon arrived - very nice too - but the flapjack was just amazing. It was truly orgasmic - the best flapjack we have ever tasted and we've had a few! Well recommended!

Loved this place. Drove through the village, saw it, stopped, seated immediately, ordered cream tea, came in minutes, real clotted cream and served with a proper cup and saucer. Staff are brilliant and attentive. Good quality all round.

I love the Badgers Tea Rooms.  Every time I visit Alfriston when down in Sussex on holiday I always go there.   The food and surroundings are wonderful and very relaxing and the staff friendly, courteous and always ready to help.
