Love the gay staff here and Manager they are very friendly. Food could be better. Service is zippy although one or two females could do with a bit of training. Today it was rammed with the locals coming in to redeem vouchers for a free cake!

I had been looking forward to coming here for a long time but have been left feeling very disappointed. We came for lunch on our Anniversary and the first thing that struck me was how dirty and unkept it is. There's damaged chairs, marks all over the walls and cobwebs. The outside seating area at the back smells of urine and the toilets are damaged and dingy. The coffee beans tasted burnt and the staff, although pleasant when serving you, dont have time to give customers attention as there's not many. The Managers however seem to just stroll around trying to look important while looking unkept in messy untucked shirts. I thought Patisserie Valerie was supposed to be a high end cafe compared to others, unfortunately the Eastbourne branch is run down and run by people who have no passion for the industry.

Consistently good brunch and other savoury dishes for a reliable price. The winter meal deal consisting of a starter and a main is actually very good value. High standard of service and hygiene. Staff very attentive. Unfortunately the tables are very small and close together, and sometimes it is difficult to find adequate seating.

We have been coming here since they opened and they are, without the shadow of a doubt, the best. You don't have to queue for ages AND pay top dollar for the privilege. The table staff are super which brings me to ms (?) Rovillos nasty and totally unjustified comment about Khaled, the previous manager. We found him to be an excellent host. You shouldn't buy a takeaway and try and drink it in the restaurant, he was totally right in asking you to leave.
