About

Story

Welcome to the Old Registry restaurant with rooms, Haworth.

Haworth is a great place to visit at any time of the year & The Old Registry is perfectly situated on the cobbled Main Street to enjoy everything about this unique Yorkshire village.

Home of the Bronte Sisters this picturesque village, surrounded by rugged and beautiful moorland, has much to offer for a short break in Yorkshire. In addition to the Bronte Parsonage Museum there is the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway, where much of the classic film The Railway Children was shot. There are guided walks and ghost tours, fantastic restaurants and quaint old fashioned shops, beautiful countryside and a full calendar of events including the famous Haworth 1940's weekend.

Just a couple of miles from the Pennine Way Haworth is an ideal base to discover the Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. The market town of Skipton, the spa town of Ilkley, the craft town of Hebden Bridge, the World Heritage site of Saltaire and the Duke of Devonshire's Bolton Abbey Estate are all within a half hour drive.

At The Old Registry we have 9 individually themed & decorated, quality en-suite bedrooms. All of our double rooms have lovely views, most have four-poster luxury beds and some even have whirlpool baths! We are proud to support the Deliciouslyorkshire campaign and our breakfast is second to none with local ingredients cooked to perfection.

Come fill your bellies in our restaurant…. Great atmosphere, friendly service and packed with character, you're sure to have a night you'll never forget. Whether it's a casual catch up with friends, or a romantic special occasion The Old Registry is the place to be. Our imaginative menus use only top notch local produce, all cooked with flair and nearly everything is made right here in our kitchen. We also have some great wines, well chosen with prices kind on the pocket!!

So come see us soon to try our proper Yorkshire grub, but please remember booking is a good idea because we are a busy little spot!!

We hope to Welcome you soon !

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Great helpful staff! Lovely food! Each room has it's own charm. The pictures are of the Duchess and the Tudor room. The rooms are very clean and furnished to a high standard! Beds are very comfy. Breakfast is beautiful. Having stayed at this hotel twice I highly recommend.

Beautiful and unusual rooms in a gorgeous location. Restaurant downstairs and lots of others to choose from on Main Street. Close to so many of Haworth's main attractions! Clean and well-kept with friendly and attentive staff. We had a perfect stay and can't wait to come back!

The food was exquisite! The main with duck with orange and cointreau was fantastic. The staff are fantastic and confirmed if I wanted a certain dish - they will accommodate if I ring in advance. Boom

DO NOT SIT ON THE COW SKIN CHAIR! Visiting 'The Old Registry' is a treat because the Food and Service is first class. The seating area is clean and quirky and there are lots of mirrors and pictures to draw the eye when your conversation becomes dull. I initially thought it was crowded until I realised there was a mirror at my side, so I watched myself eat and found it somewhat amusing. My Missus began to complain which is quite normal but I became more interested when she told me she couldn't feel her legs. The culprit was identified as the Cow Skin Chair!🤔 Close examination revealed the cushion had collapsed and she was sitting on the seat frame. I just presumed the manufacturer had left a cow horn in situ but this was not the case. Luckily a table nearby was unnoccupied and a quick switch took place. Some time later during the cheeseboard interlude, my wife reported her legs had come back to life. All in all, a great dining experience with exception of numb legs and an injured bottom.
