The Old Rectory is fantastic; what a find! At the age of 9, I suffered trauma to my four front teeth due to a nasty accident. I have always found it difficult to feel at ease, or to trust, dentists as a result. At 39, after a lifetime of dental related anxiety, PTSD and self-image problems, I came to The Old Rectory. The treatment was with Dr Miriam Vivian and then with Chris Wood and his team. I had all three remaining incisors and one implant-supported crown removed and replaced with an implant-supported bridge, with a little bone grafting. It had to be carefully designed to fit around the old implant post. This was carried out over a period of roughly nine months, in order to give good healing time in between each stage. I received excellent service, kind and gentle attention; they all made great efforts to help me feel at ease and to ensure that I received a product that I was happy with. I can highly recommend them all to anyone.

I have always been a nervous patient since an early age and some particularly bad experiences. So I often struggle to find a dentist who I feel comfortable with and understands what I am going through. So it is without hesitation that I would recommend visiting Mim and her team at The Old Rectory Dental practice. Not only are the whole team friendly and welcoming, but they also do their best to put you at ease. Mim when treating me, tells me exactly what is going on (one of my previous frustrations from other dentists) and checks on how I'm doing. Needles have always been a phobia of mine as well, so with the introduction of using the wand for anaesthetic it has made me feel a lot more comfortable. So if your a nervous patient, I would certainly visit the practice and see if it suits you.

I can highly recommend the Old Rectory Practice for providing excellent service on many levels- friendly and approachable, but at the same time very professional staff, particularly their Implantologist, Dr. Chris Wood who will take the time to discuss with you the dental problems and advise you of the best treatment options. The surgery itself has a very high standard of cleanliness, patient comfort and very modern and up to date technology (including large TV screens on the dental chairs where you can see your teeth!).
