Amazing campsite, booked last minute and turned wet and tired after a day of cycling and was not disappointed. Declan and Sara were brilliant - both very friendly and helpful! Had a lovely chat with Declan who had knew lots about the area and it's history and gave us some really good pointers towards interesting local places to visit. Would definitely come again.

Nice laid back site in beautiful countryside. Facilities need updating but the new owners are on the case. Owners friendly and helpful.

When looking through reviews you often find if a place has lots of very good reviews and one bad one, then, in my opinion, the person who wrote the bad review has the issue. We read the reviews on here, and elsewhere, but decided to chance it anyway. We were not disappointed. The Old Rectory is a fantastic place. The set up is brilliant, and we could not find fault. Declan and Sara were excellent hosts, and a mind full of information about the local area, and local history. Keep up the good work guys, and we hope all the things you have planned for the site all work out. I have a feeling that we will return again.

Clean and tidy. Facilities fairly basic. Might be rather tight for showers and toilets if it was even half full. I arrived in the rain on a bicycle out of season and was charged a whopping £16, cash - I felt that this price might have been arrived at after assessing my wet and tired state.
