The place was ok, dated . Portions were very small. The salad with my sandwich had 2 slices of cucumber, one slice of a small tomatoes, a piece of lettuce and a bit of pepper. My partners savory cream tea had 1 slice of cheese and 2 grapes. Shame as the places has potential but £15 for the above with drinks was poor value
Fabulous cream tea here, scones are probably the best I've had, apart from my own, I used to bake for National trust. Going back today for more, following covid guidelines strictly, wiping down tables between customers, and very pleasant staff.Highly recommend.
Fantastic tearoom with an old waterwheel to the outside courtyard with table and chairs to relax whilst enjoying homemade food, cakes, coffees and teas. Worth a visit!!! Black swans across the way on the river to the sea. Very picturesque!!!
Great little place full of history great atmosphere. The best place for cream tea nom nom.loved it
Proper cream teas and a bite to eat. Sit in doors or outside next to the water wheel.
A wonderful little tea room in a quiet corner of a busy road with a restored water wheel which added to the visit and was very refreshing on a hot day. The staff are polite and obliging making the sandwiches fresh to order and cream teas are good and well presented. I would recommend this well placed tea room to family and friends
Really lovely scones and a proper cappuccino with light fluffy milk. Would definitely come again. The waterwheel is also a nice feature.
Rip off!! Had their ploughman's lunch tiny, very thin slice of ham, two tiny bits of cheese etc & cup of tea...£9.20. I'm a grown man not a toddler. I'll never go there again. Got proper conned.
It has a restored water wheel. Great home made cakes. Friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoy a cream tea sitting watching the waterwheel gracefully rotate and let your mind rest a while. ..
