I visited as part of a large group of 15. The food and service was good although there wasn't really enough space for that number of people. Enjoyable time. Would return. I recommend booking a table as I have been turned away before having not booked. Not their fault!
Very pleasantly surprised. Stopped for lunch on a whim. Really good food at the price point. Probably the nicest battered cod I've ever had, fish fell apart and the batter was light and crispy. Had the 3 courses for £13.95
Great food and service a must. Dawlish has it all and Jack Sprats, put it on you bucket list.
Really great restaurant with good food and excellent service
On holiday locally, and popped here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and adjusted my order to ensure it was vegan. Reasonably priced and good sized portions. My food was fresh and very tasty. Would go here again and definitely recommend others to go here, especially those with dietry requirements/vegans.
Lovely restaurant! Delicious spaghetti and pizza. The garlic bread is out of this world! The service was fantastic. The two waitresses were v friendly and accommodating and brought out a box of toys for our little one to play with, much to their delight! The food was served v quickly. We'll be back again next time we visit Dawlish! Thanks for a wonderful meal and evening! It was nice to go to such a warm and welcoming restaurant!
It is a nice, cosy cafe, with a wide selection of food and drink options. Service was quick and staff very helpful. The food was good value for money. Mine and my wife's only quibble was that the bread was rather thin for our bacon sarnies. Would definitely go back.
The owner gets the right friendly balance of service smile and interested conversation sharing local knowledge. Food to a very high standard menu blending best tasting burger options with stuffed chicken and sensitive palate choices. Decorated to a beach comb theme wood and shell with plenty of interest. Layout over several levels and outside creates cosy feel where other diners are largely hidden and quiet. So good we went twice and loved it.
Went for the Italian themed night food was plentiful but shocked when the bill arrived to find that the wine was £9 a glass! That is more than London prices! Am all for supporting local businesses but that price is unacceptable. We later noticed you could have a bottle for £14 this should have been pointed out to us at the start of the evening when we ordered the glasses of wine?! Spoiled the evening!
Good service, really nice breakfast and cup of tea. Rather tight with buggy, but baby changing in toilet. Food really good, disappointed by crockery and cutlery not being clean, looked like it had either not been wiped in hot water, only rinsed or the pot wash machine not working. Some bits from loose leaf tea falling on crockery too.
