The old manor recently hosted our engagement party on 31st August. I firstly enquired about private hire of the whole left side of the venue for 75 people and was responded back so quickly from Michael. Michael was amazing support from the beginning, he explained everything from the buffet food they provide, minimum spend and what they could offer to us to make our party perfect for us. He was there at every point of call and was just overall amazing! On the day I was met by Dominique and her lovely team who met all of our wishes. We was allowed a dj and to provide our own celebration cake and cupcakes. The buffet we preordered had so many compliments from our guests, it was presented beautifully. The bar was fast and smooth running throughout the night and the service from the whole team did not disappoint. The venue is stunning and we are already planning another visit. Thankyou so much to you all for making our celebrations so perfect and we highly recommend the old manor for private events :

I booked 7 months ago, requested an upstairs table. Despite confirming this request a week ago, I was given a table downstairs near the door.nThe location was cold, we all sat in our coats.nThe service was slow, waited nearly 45 minutes for the main courses to arrive.nDesserts took even longer to arrive, I had to hurry them up twice.  Two of the desserts  bread & butter pudding were served cold! Sent them back to be reheated!nQuality of the main courses were good.nIn the end, I was not charged for the desserts but they forgot to deduct the £50 deposit I was asked to pay. Sorted s day later.nMy previous experiences at this establishment had been satisfactory.

We had Christmas lunch there, food was cold, from the soup to the apple crumble. We had to wait 1 1/2 hr between starter & main course. The Turkey was cut about 1” thick and the vegetables looked like they were from a frozen pack. Paid £90 per head without drinks. Won’t be going back again.

Went for our Christmas do. Food was quite nice but service was terrible, ordered cocktails to start and half of them came out after the starters. They do not know hiw yo make a liquor coffee,  it's was just a latte with alcohol in it not black with the cream floating on top how it should be.nIt was cold downstairs and despite several complaints nothing was done, but when we walked upstairs it was lovely and warm but no offer was made to put us up there.nOver all it was a very underwhelming experience and I would expect a better standard for this restaurant

We visited the restaurant at The Old Manor before we went to the theatre opposite. We were severed and looked after by  two lovely girls Ruby and Claire, they knew we were against time to get to the theatre and reassured us that our food would be with us on time. Food was hot and delicious.nAfter the theatre we returned for a drink at the bar and the bartender was also very polite and interested in us. Ruby appeared a little later remembering us and asked how we enjoyed our evening. The whole experience was just lovely.nOur only criticism would be more choices on the menu.
