This is a Pub of "+" and "-". Lovely space and a family place on a sunny day. Friendly staff and quick service. However, areas of the pub and garden have fallen into disrepair and beer choice is basic.

There is quite a bit of negativity written about The Garrison so I thought I would give my views. If you read most comments you will find the main negative is the price,this is what I must agree with. The pricing generally is a bit expensive and i;m sure that about 20p could come off drinks with no adverse effect as most people in business would prefer to get "bums on seats" and make as much,if not more profit by having more customers. Surely nothing is more satisfying than seeing your business thriving. Also £1.30 a bag of crisps is not on,when you can get better crisps,for example Mc Coys retailing about 90p a saving of 40p which I am sure customers would appreciate. Other than that I think the staff are very friendly and helpful,the place is clean and I do enjoy going there.

No food so that was disappointing but the bar staff was lovely and remembered our first order so re-ordering was no chore. Overall a pleasant afternoon.
