This place is a real hidden gem. The food is fab, pretty close to Michelin star and the whole place really comfortable and cosy. Attention to detail everywhere with lovely welcoming touches in my room. I had the best nights sleep ever!nnFriendly and welcoming owner and staff really make for a wonderful break.nnFowey is only a short ferry hop away, but to be honest the fabulous service and fabulous views made it an easy decision to enjoy a cocktail or two on the sunny terrace instead :nnTop tip: Book now and book ahead before the secret gets out!
Staying nearby, so we popped in for dinner, the cosy little pub, we knew of from 10 years ago remains, but now has a stunning outside dining area and a lovely inside area too.nnThe food was really excellent, big portions, for the people who no doubt walked there, great service, great views and better prices than over the water in Fowey.nnNo room review as we weren't staying, but next time...
A fabulous little spot with the best view in the area! The owner is lovely- so accommodating! We enjoyed a wonderful Eurovision party with the locals and other guests alike. The food is fab- the sheets and bedding are lovely, decor on point and lovely soaps in the bathroom! This is our second visit and we will be back again! Thank you - you guys are making very special moments for your customers!
I came across the Old Ferry inn a couple of years ago when I was delivering a caravan to a friend who was staying at a campsite up the road. He gave me the wrong directions and I ended up towing the caravan to Bodinnick harbour. This is an experience I do not want to repeat. Luckily enough I managed to turn the van around in the very tight harbour space and recieve a round of cheers from people outside the pub. I returned to the pub later that afternoon and enjoyed the best pint of mild ale I have had in years. The view, beer and company were all spot on and exactly what I needed after a stressful afternoon. I hope to return this summer without a car or caravan.nIf you are visiting the pub don't try and tow a caravan in
Had the vegan chilli, it was really tasty, very flavoursome and a nice degree of heat.nMy friends food was equally good. I think this chef really knows how to cook.
