Beautiful building and grounds. Breakfast is fantastic. Service is amazing. But, the internet.... is not.

This is a lovely old building right next to the cathedral. Decorated and furnished well and in keeping with its age. Breakfast is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is our second visit and the room this time is a little more spacious than the first. Only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the very early breakfast times, before 9 in the week and 9.30 at weekends, and the cleaning could be a little better, not dirty but cobwebs in the wardrobe cupboard and mould in the bathroom, things that don't spoil your stay but for the price per night I would expect perfection. But, a lovely place to stay, 2 minutes walk to the centre of Ripon with all the shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes you could ever need. I would absolutely come back and stay again.

Fantastic hotel. Staff amazing and helpful, the room immaculate. Don't normally eat in hotels but the food in the restaurant is magnificent, the steak is off the scale 😊😊

Live locally and called in for a drink and a meal earlier this evening. The food and wines available were excellent and reasonably priced. The two guys we dealt with were very friendly and pleasant.The surroundings are very relaxing, plain with tasteful decor. Lovely traditional furnishing.
