We have stayed four nights in July 2017 in the Old Courthouse B&B. It has been a lovely stay with Julie as our hostess who took care about everything we needed specially the breakfast every morning with the lovely view to the garden.The room and bathroom have a very special atmosphere. She gave us some good tips for sightseeing in the area. It's the best courthouse you can imagine. Thank you for the lovely stay. Dicky and Jan

Everything about this B & B is amazing! The host Julie is really lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her. We spent one night here while going to a local event and it was a Gem of a find. There is only one room so you are totally spoilt and its complete luxury. I can't think of one thing missing in terms of facilities, the bathroom is outstanding and the bedroom of comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was served by Julie in he room overlooking a gorgeous garden and was fabulous with huge portions, fresh coffee and juice and a choice of jams. We have travelled extensively and this is definitely in our top picks of rooms .

This B&B is truly a 5 * experience, the owners Julie and Tim have lovingly restored the old holding cells to make a wonderful , spacious and comfortable room, the bathroom and shower are huge and the sunken bath with it's beautiful tiles and sink are gorgeous. The room is on the side of the Courthouse with its own entrance and overlooks the garden and beautiful views beyond. Julie had arranged flowers from the garden and made up an extra bed for our 10 year old son, without compromising any space. Breakfast is served in your room and to specification, smoked salmon and eggs or full English, fresh orange juice and coffee, or what ever you want and we loved the privacy of eating in our room with the huge window open whilst enjoying the view. I can highly recommend staying here, Hastings is only 30 minutes away, and there are many treasures to discover, Bodium Castle, smugglers caves, one of the best arboretums only 15 minutes away and plenty more to discover, fantastic walking and then wonderful to come back to the luxury of your own comfortable B&B.

The Old Courthouse is a truly stunning B&B. The conversion of what used to be courthouse holding cells has retained all the character you would expect in such a place, but produced a beautiful and comfortable living space. It would be very easy for someone to have made a passable B&B out of this place, but I'm so glad that Julie and Tim took it on and have done a really wonderful job of the layout and decoration, going far beyond a run-of-the-mill B&B. Despite the fabulous accommodation, what we were most impressed with was the service. We stayed here for three nights after our wedding, and it really felt like our honeymoon had started. Julie made it very special for us, to start with the room had been adorned with fresh flowers and ribbons. Even the breakfasts were outstanding, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, full English, fresh fruit etc. at your request. Everything had been thought of, such as emergency supplies in the bathroom. Julie also provided useful advice about the area, from local florists and taxi firms to places to visit and things to do. We've stayed in 4-star hotels that cost a lot more and yet lacked the charm and service of this place. We'll be looking for any excuse to stay here again! Couple, 25, stayed June 2012
