Excellent find. Old and cottagee! It was exactly what it says, a proper little Devon tea room with tea, cakes and small meals, light lunches, almost in real vintage style. The food was very good and inexpensive. Nice friendly service. A lucky find by chance, and would happily return to.Food: 5/5
They turned us away because we had a pram. I have never been turned away because of a pram. The pram is smaller than a wheelchair. Would they have turned a wheelchair user away?Service: 1/5
My wife and I went here today, saturday 12/08/23 at just on 2pm, fortunately the lady kindly allowed us to order. I had the buck rarebit and my wife had double poached eggs on toast, followed by a cream tea but with coffee. It was absolutely delicious. If you are in the area, then please dont hesitate to go to this tea shop. We would highly recommend it.
Lovely little tea rooms, wide selection of food that's beautifully presented on quaint crockery. Delicious food served generously! Cheap prices too. Lovely staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.Food: 5/5
Bit dated. Food very cheap. Lovely people.
An Absolutely delightful little cafe which I intend to return to soon . I popped in for lunch today whilst visiting Bovey and was made to feel very welcome . Lunch was a delicious herb omelette, light as a feather , and a very tasty side salad , with a pot of tea bone china cups and saucers too and went down a treat. The atmosphere in the tea rooms is very traditional , welcoming and relaxed and I wish it were closer to home so I could visit more often . Top marks for service , decor comfort and choice of food. I'm gluten free and the owner was very helpful in offering suggestions they do have a good range of meals on offer . I can imagine it is popular with locals and visitors alike . Highly recommended.
Food nice and good prices. A local cafe for the elderly. I am 20 years too young. Very popular as they were turning people away as no seats.Food: 3/5
WOW What a find an absolute little gem of a tea shop, Julie the hostess was fabulous so lovely and attentive. The food was so delicious we had ploughman's, cheesy toast, Spanish omelette, cream meringues and cream teas. It was a really quaint place and the prices were amazing. Well worth a visit but we booked as there were 6 of us plus a dog, very big portions all homemade as well, Thank you
We went here on our family holiday and the lady couldn't do enough for us the food was beautiful the service was excellent prices very reasonable would well recommend to anyone if I could give more than 5 stars I would Kid-friendliness: Our children were very well looked after the waitress was very good with sorting portion sizes for our youngest children and our teenager who has a food phobia we were all extremely impressed with the level of service we will be coming back
