Delightful; not surprised it has won best Tea shop in Devon many times. Lovely walk back to Ilfracombe along the coast of about a mile. Highly recommended

Amazing food. Best cream tea around by a long way. Friendly and helpful service. Delightful location. We just keep coming back.

If you want friendly and eager to please owners, a beautiful and peaceful setting next to a working water mill, secluded seating areas and no pressure to move on, this an ideal spot for a bite to eat or a cream tea.

This place is lovely. It's in a quiet (I went in April) little village on the north coast of Devon, set back from the main through road. The mill itself has been lovingly restored and is well maintained. A walk around the mill let's you see it's inner workings. It really is amazing to see the array of belts and cogs all working together. The mill is not wheelchair accessible. Opposite the mill is the tearoom, and it's easy to see why it has won awards for being the best tearoom in Devon. My partner and I each had a "mini" cream tea, which consisted of a pot of tea and a giant homemade scone. It really was delicious and cheaper than the other café's we'd visited on our trip. There was also a selection of 5 or 6 homemade cakes; some made with flour milled on site! We decided to get some cake to take with us, as we were both so full from the "mini" cream tea, and when we finally ate them they were just as delicious as we'd expected. Such big portions too! The Old Corn Mill is cash only. There is residents only parking outside, but there are other places in the village to park.
