Another Wetherspoon, another unique carpet. I would give it 6 stars if I could for the simple reason that the ladies toilets are on the ground floor! Men's are still upstairs though. This Spoons is an old church, and has some stained glass windows, and strangely enough an art gallery of posters! Great upstairs area to sit too. There's a massive bird statue just across the road which is pretty cool.

Very impressed with this wetherspoons, good food and friendly staff. Large and unique style interior on two levels with plenty of seating and spacing between tables. Great views of the local countryside from the top floor. Will visit again!

Visited while passing through Darwen. What an absolute stunning building! They have done a fantastic job and shows in this majestic building and its interior. It doesn't feel like an old chapel but has more of a library feel about it with its floor above, where the kitchen and further seating areas are situated. Also upstairs infront of the stunning stained glass windows, there is artwork and paintings on display which add character to this historic building. We never dined here so can't comment but the hot chocolate was a delight. Lots of open floor space with tables and also comfy couches. Parking is limited outside but there are a few just outside if you are lucky. Nice visit and would recommend.

The manager came over and yelled at me for being on my laptop and not ordering yet. I travel for work and ordered 3 meals at other Wetherspoons just today, I eat at this chain more than anywhere else. I've been to at least 50 Wetherspoons and its always been great. I've never encountered a manger that hostile and unwelcoming. He is not doing the Wetherspoons name justice and should not be in charge here or even work here.

First time in a Wetherspoons pub earlier this year, and the old chapel is now my go to place. When you can pay £2.50 for a pint of real ale, compared to my local Rankin charging £5 upwards I know where I would rather be...
