Friendliest and most accommodating bar staff. Simple menu and food that was delicious- thank goodness for commons sense , cash-taking business! Totally worth a visit!
Fantastic place and not just cos I was in the band , the atmosphere was buzzing. We aim to go eat there soon as they had a great varied menu. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We called in just before 4.45 one eve to unfortunately find that this place was just due to close. We had hoped to get an evening meal here , but was told by the gentleman behind the bar ,that food at this time of year ,was only served 12 into 5pm , depending on how trade had been that day , they were closing at 5pm ,so he said we were welcome to buy a drink which we did. We appreciated the fact that the rain had never stopped that day and understood why they were closing early. I am sure that it would have been a decent menu if had been able to have had something to eat Just one of those things. So cannot pass much of an opinion on this venue, at this point in time. .
This pub has been refurbished since I came last. It was old wood panelling before which had it's own charm but the new look is very clean and it's a pleasant environment to eat or drink in. The food and service was very good. It's the sort of pub I'd like to be my local.
This is a lovely clean pub with a wide choice of drinks. Inside and outside area are both good and dogs are very welcome. Drinks are very reasonably priced for Keswick. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Great atmosphere. Very welcoming including our two mountain dogs. Good food selection. Will visit again.
Loved this place good beer good prices Pleasant staff and a lovely clean pub with immaculate toilets Haven't eaten here but will try the food on our next visit
Recommended by the brilliant Deb at Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft, it didn't disappoint. Beer was great, with plenty of cask alongside the normal keg selection. Food was also great, and delivered quickly by friendly staff. There's a large outdoor seating area out the back with a bit of cover when the rain comes in. Always welcome in Keswick
Great food and service, maybe the decor although clean, could do with a little updating to gain 5*
I’ve been trying to have a pint here after a hike, but the opening hours are weird. Seems to be never open. After several months, still no food. I would appreciate if you update your website and opening hours. This is disgrace, it has been so much better before.
