Went for my wife's 50th birthday with 20 friends. Superb food and service as usual. Been going for more than 25 years. Never yet been disappointed.

All was well until queuing for the beef. Person in front ordered beef, waitress went into the kitchen to cut the beef, looked through the door to the kitchen and one of the staff (with an outside coat on) was picking pieces of beef out of the joint and eating them. The same joint used to serve customers. Disgusting.

Every Monday and bank holiday Monday the wheatsheaf have a specials night for £6 per person truly great value when we arrived at 6 pm the place was rammed no wonder specials including liver and bacon their famous meat pie chicken tikka masala sweet and sour ham and pineapple to mention a few see attached photos for rest of offers plus a range of freshly cooked vegetable hot and cold sweets at £2.95 all the food we had was good quality well cooked and plentiful if your ever in this neck of the woods call you won't be disappointed

Food is decent and the portions are massive... Maybe could use some quality over quantity, but overall pretty good.
