Good food and drink in well kept pub with parking in small Dorset village off the beaten track. Booking is strongly advisable.

Fab food and great service

Very nice main piece of food, I had the pork belly which had a huge head if cracklik on whih was lovley! Its tasted amazing, same for my dads pie, had allot if meat and looked amazing. However the veg and starters seemed forgotten, not well presented and so simple it looked like I could of done it. Not a brilliant selection on beers either but nothing that made me upset or got me feeling like anything wasn't worth what i was paying for. Staff were accommodating to us and our small dog considering it was a Friday night and we didn't book. Childs dish was very big for a child's meal which isn't a complaint, we felt like we really got our money's worth and had something to take home. Overall, have been to better pubs but more certainly have been to worse! :)

Just moved to Beaminster (4 months) and found the New Inn very much to our liking. Kerstey and Kevin are very friendly and took over just before we discovered our new "local". Kevin's food is delicious and the atmosphere gets better on each visit. Beer's good too
