Fab home cooked food. Chips are to die for. Very generous portions. Friendly helpful staff. Reserve a table as it's very popular, especially on Sundays.
Very cheerful staff, lovely home cooked food & generous portions. I chose the prime Gammon which was lovely. The menu has lots of different choices so you've plenty to choose from, although I was informed that they don't do mashed potatoes on a Saturday? You definitely do not go home hungry. Parking: There is a small carpark at the side.
What can be said about this place. It's been fantastic every time we've gone, great value food, fun place to go and eat especially the lady behind the bar who does a great job at making everyone feel good when they are there. The larger restaurants and eating places could learn a lot about the customer service which is fun, engaging and makes you want to go back. Food always arrives quicker than you expect and is piping hot with a generous portion. If you're in the area and enjoy slap stick comedy chat and a great meal then go here it's brilliant!
Nice place, great service friendly staff and homemade food taste absolutely amazing!
The staff were nice, and the food was good. I was put off by the cleanliness of the restaurant though...We ate on 31/10/22 a cool Autumn afternoon and on choosing our table, was disgusted to find that every area we entered, had numerous blue bottle flies flying around! The tables were sticky, and the toilets were so bad, that my partner refused to use the mens room! I would not return to this restaurant. Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options, but I found they weren't clearly marked on the menu. I had the Veg Lasagne which came with a side salad. It was hot and nice, but the salad wasn't as fresh as I'd have liked it.
One of our favourite places to eat real good pub food Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome. My boys love it Parking: Parking on the front and car park
friendly staff, very welcoming. Food was tremendous, well cooked, tasty and well worth the visit. Good pint and reasonably priced. will definitely be back to try the Sunday roast.
Gorgeous pub but the food was terrible. Ordered the sausage, homemade chips, peas and egg £9.95 for chippy sausages, overcooked fried eggs and the worst chips I've ever had, definitely not homemade, the peas were missing too. Meals the others ordered were ok but only ok, the chips were inedible, none of us ate more than a couple. The Stilton burger was good, the salt and pepper chicken was weird but the salad was nice and fresh. A very disappointing first and probably last visit. Dietary restrictions: Fantastic vegan and gluten free menus
Went here today 26th November, the food was amazing considering they were catering for 9 of us as we hadn't booked, the food was the best we had had in long time whilst eating out ,good generous portions Food: 5/5
If you are wanting the feel of a local pub with home cooked food, then this is your place. All 3 of us enjoyed the main meal, and devoured the desserts.Food: 5/5
