Lovely cafe and deli. Visited yesterday & normally I have a savory tooth but I was tempted with the rhubarb and custard cake. Hubby had chocolate cake. Tea was.piping hot & I managed to get 2 good cups out of the pot. At the moment they have autumnal flavours to the coffee such as pumpkin spice. Tables are quite closely packed so I think wheelchair users would struggle for space but I'm sure this could be remedied by a shuffle. A nice selection of teas, jams, marmalades and lots of other goodies are on display in the shop part of the larder. Lovely.
We had a late breakfast as we were on our little road trips. The breakfast £8.50 was okay but hubby thinks it was quite good. I would have preferred fried eggs, the bacon was a little dry and sausage wasn’t as good. Bonus was the artisan market which I failed to photograph.
The cooked breakfast was awful. Paid £21.00 for 2 breakfast deals. The bacon was dry and rock hard. Only one sausage and nothing to write home about. Asked for a poached egg and was told they don’t have the facilities to do that so it’s just scrambled egg which was not seasoned at all. The tomato was not even cooked. I asked for some jam and got told that it’s 50p extra which is not a problem I paid it however it was literally for a teaspoon size portion! The best part about the breakfast was the toast. Very disappointing
Popped here for a cupper & scone after eating one half of the scone I took a bite of the other half & my partner saw a hair sticking out the scone I was eating i showed the girl she got the manager who offered me another scone or a tray bake a refund would have been a better offer so we left definitely won't & be backFood: 1/5
My goto place to eat when in Morpeth. Totally unpretentious place but excellent menu choices and food quality really good. Choice of outdoor eating, service great and plenty of local parking.
A lovely cafe and I’m a regular visitor. Today there was no cake or traybake gluten free option, the options are normally small but always grateful for a little treat, There were loads of vegan options, often vegan options can also be made gluten free but nothing at all today and unfortunately for me and many other coeliacs it is not a choice but medical need. Please introduce more options..
I would expect a 3.30 milk shake to taste a bit better than a nesquik shake. Service good but quality of drink very poor for the money.
Popped in after major lockdown 2. I am giving this 4 stars for friendly staff and great food. All important COVID secure. Recommend the smoked applewood cheese and orange marmalade sandwich. I am off to acquire the cheese and marmalade to take home.
Lovely and relaxing, clean and spacious, outdoor seating area too. Nice staff. My husband had chilli con carne with pitta bread strips which be enjoyed and I had a baked potato with a tasty coronation chicken filling, which was very nice indeed. Good choices of toasties, panninis, quiche and breakfast choices. Lovely cakes on display. Will definitely return when bk in Morpeth again. Good cup of coffee too.
Thank you for having such a delicious selection of vegan cakes. Much appreciated.
