First and foremost WOW! First time in last night, after booking a table as a surprise for my partner. Was not disappointed! It was busy with customers and weddings but the service was second to none and the food was the best I've tasted in a long time! Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. We had 3 courses and found ourselves struggling to choose between Everything on the menu.. Everything looked so good as it was coming out. Can't wait to come again. Thank you for a fab night.
Intimate wedding venue in The Loft. Ideal for wedding party for 40-70 people. Food superb, Staff really friendly, helpful and attentive. Special thanks to Susan and the team... only downside, no designated area to take wedding photos,
Came here for a birthday meal, could not fault the meal one bit! Will honestly say this was the best tasting steak I have had in a long time!! Perfectly cooked and will be returning very soon!
Absolutely beautiful lunch out. Food was amazing, venue lovely, service was great and value for money unbeatable. Will definitely return.
Absolutely fantastic venue with wonderful staff. We had a birthday party for my Auntie who turned 90 and the venue and staff and guests made it a special day. We all thank you and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a venue take a look at the moorlands Inn.
We booked a table for tonight as a treat. We always order lasagne and we were disappointed that it is no longer on the menu. We ordered our food and it took almost an hour to come, we know it was busy but it would have been helpful to have been warned about the wait. When our food came, the steak pie had potatoes in, which would be fine if we had ordered a meat and potato pie! But we had ordered, and paid, for a steak pie. The creamy chicken curry was nice to look at, the sauce was tasty but the chicken in the curry was not breast meat. It was dark and chewy and inedible. My daughter ordered the hunters chicken, the chicken was pink in places which put her off eating it. We have always eaten at the moorlands, even when they put their prices up, we continued to go as the food was top quality. Now it seems that the prices have risen again but the quality of the food has rapidly declined. Now we did order some items off the 50% menu, but this did not justify the disappointment we all felt. We will not eat here again..we cannot warrant spending a small fortune on poor quality food.
The service was amazing, the food was excellent and it is reasonable prices for the portion size and quality
We went to one of the party nights in the marquee for our staff Christmas do last week and had an amazing night. It was very well organised, the food was excellent and arrived hot. They catered for my food allergies and intolerance perfectly. The DJ was fun and the music he played was great I think it was reasonably priced for a great night out.
Very good wholesome food, polite smart staff and a nice and a clean environment. Since the renovation and the addition of the booths with the frosted glass it feels a little uninviting and cold - more office cubicles than somewhere you want to relax and socialise. The prices have recently increased and £16 for a roast dinner is a bit over the top for a country pub especially given the surrounding area and clientele. The lavatories have been very well renovated and are stocked with quality supplies, and a powerful hand dryer - the toilets are more inviting than the pub eating area, no joke It Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the mentioned above. Thanks for a nice meal
Not been back since before lockdown and love the new booths. Food was great and we enjoyed it. Not quite the 5 stars because I wasn't impressed at being charged £2 for a pint of tap water with a tiny splash of orange cordial for a child. I don't mind pay 70p or so for a tumbler but 2 quid wow and charged for soda water too at £1.50 a glass. Never been charged for soda water in my life.
