Nice garden behind the York Minster. Not many people notice that this is the best spot for unblocked view and photos of the Minster.
A beautiful small garden. Seating so you can have a rest & look at the glorious York Minster.
A lovely oasis of calm and serenity in the shadow of the beautiful historic York minster. Just sit or lay in the sunshine, have a picnic, or an ice cream from a nearby vendor.
Very nice park, I sometimes refer to myself as Dean so I felt very at home here.
Nice little park to walk around and sit. You can see some of the yorkminster building, depending on where you are. Plenty of benches to sit on. It seems it can get busy as we went on a sunny day in September and there was quite a few people there all socially distancing though so felt very safe
A lovely peaceful little park next to the Minster which gives the ideal escape from the bustle of the city centre. It’s well kept and there’s lots of seating throughout, with views across different aspects of the minster which are great to admire. If you’re in the area and need to rest weary feet it’s certainly the place to go!
It was very pleasant visiting this park, where there is a large amount of grass and comfortable benches nearby. There's also a circle at a tree's base that makes for a neat addition, though the shine from this is taken by the old structure that is used as a memorial for royal figures!

Small Park located to the north side of York Minster. The park has the remains of the old palace, these days a moving war memorial and the the cathedral Library – The Old Palace.
One of the most magical places in York. Such serenity. Each step you take further into the space the bustling sounds of the city fade away and most visitors seem to respond by quietening their own voices in turn. You can sense people taking a deep breath here.
