A peaceful park can spend 30 minutes or however long you wish. There is a small car park which you need to pay for. A play park near the car park. I was only there for about an hour, so didn't see everything. A few statues dotted around the place ponds, and a lovely looking canel, which had a nice bridge. Saw a few people walking their dogs, feeding the birds and ducks but didn't see any swans this time. I wish had longer to see the courts - tennis and basketball, and he rest. Playground: Has a medium size play ground Picnic area: Can eat on a blanket or the tables
There's free parking for Blue badge owners. And we found the place well suited for my.mum laws mobility scooter. The.place was quite difficult to find as the post code took us down a street that was infact near the park but nowhere near the entrance we had to ask for directions to the park car park. On the whole a nice place. Playground: The skatepark looked really good and it was busy. Restrooms: We went to the cafe and they had nice food my wife had cheese tuna toasty. Dog-friendliness: The place is OK for dogs kept on a lead. The cafe had a big water bowl for dogs. Picnic area: There's plenty of grassed areas for picnic but you need a groundsheet as there's lots of goose poo alover the park. Barbecue: I don't think a barbecue would be a good idea not sure if it would be allowed anyway.
An unexpected gem of a place, scootering, walking, play area, cycling, near river to see boats, cafe shut 4pm should've brought a picnic! Love it definitely be back x
Beautiful park which has plenty to see and do and is well maintained by a brilliant team of local volunteers. Lovely to visit at all times of the year and the lake, play area and gardens are amazing too. It's great that they have a skate park, toilets, a cafe plus sports courts as well. Just a nice place to be.
It was a lovely park with Canada geese. It was our first time at the park. We discovered the park by getting off the bus earlier than usual and walking by the river. It was very peaceful. There were lots of different areas, a pond, gardens, children's play and plenty of seats. There was also a skatepark.
Great family- and dog-friendly park named after the founder of Rowntree my little sloth keV is obsessed with jelly tots, so it was a must-visit for us. We loved stopping by the Reading Café for a drink.
Well-maintained and a range of activities available. Ponds and bird life. Lovely plantings. Cafe and toilets.
Lovely and very popular park with parking, our 4 year old loved it. Equipment all well maintained and plentiful. Restrooms: Restrooms are cold and very very basic bordering on primitive, daughter wouldn't use them!
C&HH Club site, situated on the river bank ten minutes walk into York city centre. Top quality facilities and friendly helpful staff.
Always love coming here, especially on a sunny day. The flowers and plants always look really good. Skatepark is always packed. Watch out for geese poo! Nice cafe too.
