The Miners Arms Freehouse Restaurant in Whitecroft

Story

The Miners Arms is a multi-award winning Freehouse restaurant offering good food daily and caters for event based dining experiences., 5 Real Ale Taps, Local Ciders and a 4* Holiday Cottage with hot tub to boot! We are the forest 'Pub Of The Year' 2010 and Restaurant Of the Year 2011. We began sponsoring the Awards in 2012. We were voted most loved forest business by locals and received a 'Highly recommended' award from the industry Pub Of The Year Awards. We have received a 5 star excellence award from 'trip advisor' in 2013 and 2014, we are finalists in the 'taste of Gloucestershire' 2014 awards. We are nice people, come visit.

A great pub in the Forest of Dean. A good selection of beers and ciders. What really stands out is the food. It is advisable to book a table in advance though.

This place is now serving up some really good beers. Had Director's last night and while 'lively' in the pour it was an excellent drink. Also had a soupçon of the Bespoke 6% cider which is also very worthwhile.

Having booked a table for 17 people including children can only say the food was cold,unappealing and down right inedible. Service was very poor. I felt sorry for the young staff who were having to deal with all of our complaints. Not an apology in sight from the management. Not at all suprised to find the place is for sale. Certainly will never go there again. Shame that I have to give one star to at least leave a post. Should be allowed to give - 5 stars.

The worst food i’ve ever had. The most odd combination of things on one plate. Service was terrible. The place is very run down and need of updating. Steer clear, go passed and head for somewhere else.
