Great food and atmosphere. Had scallops, black pudding with sweetcorn puree for starters. Scallops were a little on the small side, but cooked perfectly. Ate them too fast for a picture. We had the chicken and haggis ballotine from the seasonal menu, and the duo of fried chicken with blacked fries. Both meals had great flavours. My boyfriend loved the pickled slaw with the chicken. The chicken lacked something salty (haggis was not salty)/sour on the plate for me. Lots of desserts to choose from but couldn't fit one in. 1 starter 2 mains and 3 drinks for £50. Would recommend this place as top in the area.

Great little pub in Stewarton. Good food and great value. Very friendly staff and locals. Highly recommended.

We visited on a Friday lunchtime and although the car park was full there were plenty of tables available. We had delicious lentil soup, which was plentiful and came with bread ( more butter please), followed by fish goujons ( 3 huge pieces). I could only finish 2, and haggis(?) beef olives...yummy. We were too full for dessert so paid up and left. Service was friendly and attentive on this occasion and the temperature was comfortable... not always the case on both counts.

The 4 stars are for the decor, comfort & relaxing atmosphere. Not so keen on the food, menu never changes and leans towards spicy foods. Hardly anything offered in good British food, only so many times a person can eat chicken & leek pie! Not much choice in sweets either. However, they do serve a good breakfast & afternoon coffee or tea
