Really nice place, excellent service. Food was delicious and stunning views across Ventnor. Deals are really good too.
Coeliac / Gluten free friendly A+nHad fish and chips here yesterday which were freshly prepared. Having Coeliac disease i am always nervous when eating out as i get a reaslly bad reaction if i have any gluten. basically vomitting for 3-4 hours and out of action for the next 12hrs or so. Anyway, the chef assured me that they took lots of steps to ensure food would not be cross contaminated such as cooking in seperate oil etc etc. Really good food, no reaction and great value so thank you and i will be back. 100% recommended!
Absolutely disgusting and greedy service. After being in the chippy, we were taking away 2 large packs of fish and chips. Keep in mind we were a large group of people. After going to grab the sauce and leave, the owner lady comes up and starts rudely going on a tangent about how we can’t have the sauce packets. after explaining that we were taking away the food, she says we need to pay for them and can’t have them. Keep in mind they were out in display. Very disappointing experience
Walked in as passing trade at lunchtime, as they had an offer on fish and chips. Fantastic pub, laid back and with nice atmosphere, food was prompt and very good. Servers came back to check we were happy and seemed to really care that we were. We will be coming back.
What a little gem of a place, The Millbay. A very warm welcome, had the best fish and chips. Staff very attentive. Thanks again to Phil and Tracey and staff, just brilliant. Thank you.
