This is an MG Midget themed pub with lots of history and bits of MGs on the walls. The food is fairly standard chain pub food, but has some excellent value daytime value items on offer. They also seem to run a loyalty scheme which would be good if you live locally. Supply chain problems meant that few white wines were on offer at the time of our visit.
Always friendly welcoming staff. Lovely airy surroundings and a genuine pub feel. Makes you feel like covid never happened! - albeit the covid precautions are still in place - don't worry! Sports on the tv should you wish to watch I don't but it's nice for those who want the option and from what I've seen there are lots of themed events, like st. Patricks day and mothers day. - MUSIC BINGO!! We visit weekly and long may it continue!
15 members of the MG Car Club attended this morning for their all-day breakfasts and had a great welcome and wonderful service from the staff, facilities clean, food was plenty and so reasonable too, as MG nuts it was lovely of the landlord to bring out the old visitor book going back to 1977 for us to sign, a nice touch by him, and plenty of MG memorabilia throughout the pub. Would most certainly return and happy it is fully dog friendly as well.
Such a lovely afternoon spent at our local pub. Really welcoming and friendly staff. Food was absolutely delicious! Lovely atmosphere whist watching the football, playing pool and talking to others in the pub! Thank you all and will definitely be back!

A group of us went to the Midget for breakfast this morning. The food was lovely and the waiter dealt with us on his own. He was wonderful. Really enjoyable . Well done Midget.
Very enjoyable food, three courses for £6.49, numerous varieties of beers and lagers. Staff were also very friendly and helpful, perfect lunchtime.
We went there yesterday one person on bar got drink worng twice waited over half an hour four a coffee as they served people after we asked four one joke got a buger meal was not nice at all and waited over an hour staff need to learn how to smile and go on customer service corse and four when my daughter 3year old son who is being assessed four adhd and autism four the lady with blonde here and black glass to pull a face and shake her head when cleaning tables thought no one see will i did not happy ment to be a faily pub i would stear clear
The midget is a lovely family friendly pub. Really good food, staff are really friendly and chatty. Went out here with some friends and we had a great evening! Just fantastic!
We love the Midget! It's just across the road from us, so nice and local. We go often with our SEN 4 year old, our 8 month old, and our dog. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the food is always good!
