I like that when i come here i have never had a bad meal i have haf at so many places. The owner and staff are very nice people and i love the country environment and its just down from Frilford Heatch golf club which is a plus in my books. A round of golf then a burger to top off my rec day.
Great place for a drink or lunch. Defiantly try meat pie here. There is is also back garden with playground and outside seating.
Excellent food service was good aswell nice atmosphere all in all a pleasant evening the wife had king prawn kebab and they were huge there burgers are some of the best home made burgers I have ever had
Under new management now so ignore any negative feedback. We were there for my birthday and couldn't fault the food or the service. The best roast dinner I have ever had except my mum's or mine! Will be going back!!!! Keep up the good work. Regards and best wishes from Wolverine and Julie.
Excellent service here!! Dropped in after a weekend away not expecting a table. The staff, even when very busy, managed to squeeze us in on a Sunday without a booking. We also asked for a spare plate as our littlest one usually shares a meal - they ended up giving a free small meal for him!! Very pleasant place to eat!
Lovely atmosphere and lovely choice of food they also have a lovely garden with a play frame for children. The menu is also fabulous and reasonable and the Sunday roasts are lovely also I would recommend that booking a table would be best as it can sometimes be busy. They have free parking and it's disabled friendly.

Had a fabulous valentines day dinner here. The food from the special menu was really good, nice options, beautifully cooked. The tables were decorated and nice music playing. Staff really friendly and caring. Thoroughly recommended
Wow amazing find!! I heard this lovely country pub was under new ownership so we tried it out for our Sunday roast this week. The new female owner was very welcoming and the food great. The owner told us of her plans to bring live entertainment in every Saturday evening and we're looking forward to coming back for a Christmas dinner with family. Good luck to the new owners this place deserves to thrive.
We had been out for the day and stopped at the Black Horse to see if we could get a meal. They were busy but they accommodated us. We had a Sunday dinner which was lovely and a nice chat with the landlord. We will definitely go there again and recommend it.
