This was such a fun spot to visit. I never would have gone if I hadn't been with a tour, so I am glad we tried it. The food was really good and I wasn't expecting it to be and the performances were fun. I especially loved the trout dish. It's a decent ways outside of Dublin so you'll need a mode of transportation to get here. The show is a bit long and the space is all tourists, but there's something fun about that too. Would recommend to people visiting if they wanted dinner and a show!
If you have the opportunity- take it!! The food was amazing, the singing and dancing was top notch. Love that they tell stories and explain the history behind some of the songs. I went 2 nights in a row and loved each show - they were slightly different! Staff was great at handling the packed room with travelers from all around!
One of the historic pubs in the Dublin hills, belonging to musicians so, often having live music ...even if not today. Not huge selection but some pretty nice classic Irish recipes well elaborated and presented. Nice place also for breakfasts after a walk on nearby forest hills. Parking: ample parking in front of the pub; spot for a couple of buses and at least 20 cars
Very tasty food. Worth every penny. Came here after a company event volunteering on a dog shelter. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, good taste in music, welcoming staff and delightful food servings. Enjoyed every bite and sip!
Very impressed with the Merry Ploughboy, very welcoming and friendly staff , very accommodating to my dogs the staff brought them water and treats straight away. The service and food was fantastic. Spotless clean and such a relaxing beer garden. Really enjoyed our whole experience, I will definitely return and highly recommend.
The sun was shining, and so the visit to The Merry Ploughboy was glorious. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Trad music and dancing performances upstairs with meals for ? €60. It sounded like a lot of fun, and there were coach loads of guests enjoying it.
The weather was a bit hot last week. The air conditioner may not be turned on in the store, and the door may not be open. There are many people dining together. The room is very hot and I feel out of breath. But the food taste is goodFood: 4/5
It is one of the best atmospheres I experienced on this trip in Ireland. They had amazing Irish music, a great Irish dancing performance, and good food. I truly hope to come againFood: 5/5
Traditional Irish themed pub with good service and a nice toasted special sandwich. Latte was expensive at 4.50 Euro April 2023 price. It was nice to see an open fire in the pub.Food: 4/5
Omg Great show! The goat cheese salad was the best thing I had in Ireland! I'm not even kidding a bit! Staff was amazing! Highly recommend! Great for groups!
