Fantastic, indulgent menu at good prices. A place to go for a big, ridiculously delicious meal and drinks. Their vegetarian options are also surprisingly good. Our only disappointment is that so many people have discovered how good it is since it opened, so you tend to need to book ahead at busier times. Our favourite place to feast in Gillingham!

Really enjoyed it here today. Asked to be moved as we were near the door where the kids run in and out and there was no problem. Waitresses are very nice and friendly and enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be coming back. H

First visit to The Mast and Rigging and would go again. The service was good, large choice on menu. We had a sharing starter and Rump Steak which cooked perfectly. Didn't have room for a sweet. Prices are comparable to other similar eating houses. Would recommend it

Really friendly, helpful staff.  Gave you plenty of time to look over the menu and remembered to come over frequently to refill drinks.  Table service good and friendly.  Food good value.  A few communication problems with the kitchen meant that our mains weren't out together and the coffees were cold but they were apologetic and deducted the coffee from the bill.

Went on a Sunday at approx 2pm. Bit of a shambles really. No tables available and told there was a long wait for food. Strange though as it didn't look busy. Don't think they are over keen on having customers for some reason. Went to the Star and although busy, the food was served quickly and piping hot and tasty. Don't think I'll be going back to the Mast and Rigging as they haven't decided if they want to be a pub or a restaurant and are failing at both!
